The description and pictures shown for the "queen suite with a pool view" is very misleading and hence it should be made clear to account for the pricing. Initially I thought we had a good deal as even though it was a bit away from centre of Merida, we were under the impression that we had the entire top floor as shown in the pictures. When one clicks on the pictures for your booked apratment on booking.com, it always shows only the pictures of the room you're staying in. However, they have added pictures of atleast 2 or even 3 different rooms. In the description, it says - "Guests will have a special experience as the suite features a pool with a view. Featuring a private entrance, this air-conditioned suite consists of 1 living room, 1 separate bedroom and 1 bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer" - if they chnage this later, I still have a screenshot of our booking. However, what we got was only 1 room with a bathroom - there was no living room along with a "separate bedroom". Becuase of this description, I had let go of other options we had seen closer to the centre. I had also asked them to clarify while booking the place as it was showing "5 more still left" and I wasn't sure how can 5 be left when on the pictures there's 2 rooms on the top floor and 2 on the ground floor. But they said they have other properties on the premises. Also in the ad it says size of 409 sq ft - that'd probably be the size if you consider both the rooms on the top floor. The single room was in no way 400+ sq ft. I have added in pictures actual room vs what is shown for the booked room.

Besides this one issue, everything else was very good and as shown. But misleading people with these descriptions is not nice given we consider the pricing based on what's on offer. For anyone loking at this proerty, please be aware there is ONLY A SINGLE ROOM ON OFFER (although the size of the room is sufficeint for a couple)

We were there on Friday and Saturday nights and there is a night club up the street which we could hear clearly until 1/2am. It wasn’t ear-shattering, but disruptive when suffering jet lag.

Exterior lights on the balconies for the suites cannot be turned off, so at night, because we wanted to keep our sliding door and drapes open for the breeze, we had to cover up the lights with shoes, hats, etc, to keep them from shining in our window. It's workable but a bit of a hassle (and unnecessary light pollution). The three upstairs suites have the most exterior lights (4 or 5, I think, embedded in the balcony floor on each one). Looked like the three ground-floor suites have only a couple of lights in front of each room.

The shower head in room 1 could use a good soak in vinegar to remove the limescale from the nozzles and make the stream of water a bit better and more controlled :)

Lights outside the room were not working.

They didn’t leave the key in our lockbox. We advised them we were arriving at 12:30 AM. When we tried to reach them, they never answered our calls nor our texts. We had to find some random place to stay instead of being able to stay in our room. Horrible customer service. We’ll be pursing a full refund. COMPLETE JOKE!!

Deze plek werkt met self checkin, dat werkt op zich goed. Je krijgt vervolgens wel een lange lijst met regels mee die soms wat streng en overdreven overkomen (bijvoorbeeld over stroomverbruik en dat je absoluut geen dingen mag laten drogen op de stoelen buiten).

Unfortunately the bathroom was not properly cleaned when we arrived…
