Getaway with family to Rio Dulce
Pros:

It was secluded and you really felt like you had the whole property for yourself - the location is amazing with the castle right in front of you. The staff tried to be friendly and go after your needs.

Cons:

Small little things - the tour operator didn't accept credit cards. The food was very basic (both in presentation and quality) and overpriced for what it (convenient for them, since you really are bound to them). One of our toilets broke during our stay which never is nice.

Een prachtige plek aan het water
Pros:

Mooie locatie aan het water, verder ook een hele accommodatie zelf. Van de kamer tot aan de leuke zitjes, hangmatten, het zwembad en de spelmogelijkheden (tafelvoetbal, badminton, voetbal). Een erg mooie plek! Verder was het contact erg gemakkelijk, de hostess sprak erg goed Engels.

De douche was soms wat lauw en de kamers zijn gehorig

A big mystery why this is not sold out daily
Pros:

Please book this place! A beatiful hotel on an amazing property overlooking the castillo and the Izabal lake. The kind and welcoming staff make it feel like a homestay experience, but will all the perks of a super comfortable hotel. Food was pretty good as well.

Cons:

It’s obviously not the hotel’s fault, but like other reviews mention as well, we were the only guests there, which can feel a little awkward (although we didn’t mind). Because of this the atmosphere can feel a bit empty and the staff just sits around all night. A minor annoyance was the time it took to pick us up with the boat from Rio Dulce, they should check their whatsapp a bit more.

Unique place to stay
Pros:

It is in a great location right on the waterfront. There are kayaks to use, a pool & nice seating & lounging areas. The staff are friendly and helpful. We were given a large family room which was very comfortable. The property is unique & beautifully decorated. We enjoyed our short stay.

The food could have been better!

Great location with amazing views.
Pros:

Large clean comfortable room. Hotel had pool, jacuzzi and free use of the kayaks. Amazing view of the Castle of San Felipe and the hotel drop you there for free.

Cons:

Not many options for vegetarians in the restaurant and as you have to get a boat to the mainland can't eat elsewhere.

Accomodatie zat op een geweldige plek aan het meer. Heel behulpzaam en vriendelijk personeel.

Cons:

De prijs-kwaliteitverhouding van het eten en drinken vonden wij relatief duur en de menukaart was niet heel uitgebreid. Het personeel was daarentegen ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Helaas sprak niemand Engels, al deden zij duidelijk hun best om te communiceren. Daarnaast is het laatste ophaalmoment in de avond om 21:00 uur. Dat is prima wanneer er in het hotel zelf voldoende te doen is, maar doordat er weinig gasten waren, was het ’s avonds lastig om ons te vermaken.

Beautiful location, great staff, and very unique.

Cons:

Restaurant food was average and not cheap. Very unique accomadation but once one person is up at 6:30 am everybody is up.

We hebben een fijne relaxte tijd gehad
Pros:

Hele mooie omgeving en prachtig aangelegd met de jungle vibe om je heen
Lekkere bedden en mooie grote badkamer. Het heeft een mooi zwembad en lekkere ligbedden. Je wordt ook opgehaald met een bootje

Cons:

Toen wij er waren, was het wat stil.
De kamers zijn ook wel gehorig
Verder prima

El baño la Tina muy vieja llena de manchas. Note abandonado de las instalaciones. M pedí un café y me dieron un café calentado en microondas. .
