food was amazing keeping in mind that we were experiencing what it is to stay in a tent. The staff from the reception ( Kennedy and Lin) , the chef and his staff, the helpers(Jacky) and the other ladies and also the security were amazing
the only thing missing was AC as the only had a stand fan and the faucet in the toilet . It would be nice if they would consider these things as even their cottages dont have this.
The service was truly on par with a 5-star hotel. A team of Maasai guards provided excellent security, escorting us from the restaurant to our tent and patrolling the camp throughout the night to ensure our safety.
One memorable experience was walking to the nearby river with a Maasai guard to explore and investigate what kinds of animals had passed near the camp—there are many great spots for wildlife tracking around the area.
What impressed us most was the camp manager, Kenedy. He is an exceptionally honest and trustworthy person. Although the camp is located outside the national park, a park officer attempted to charge us the full park fee ($200 per person) for all three nights. Kenedy stepped in and firmly stood up for what was right, making sure we weren’t unfairly charged.
He also arranged a game drive for us at a very reasonable price. Our guide, Patrick, was absolutely fantastic—knowledgeable, professional, and made the whole experience truly memorable.
The tent was a bit small, and hot water wasn’t available at all times. The electricity generator occasionally stopped working, but this happened very rarely—we only experienced a short 10-minute outage during our entire 3-day stay.
The meals were decent, though not quite as impressive as we had hoped, despite the cook personally introducing each dish at every meal. However, the packed breakfast and lunch were excellent—generous portions and well-prepared.
While the price is on the higher side, it’s still reasonable and acceptable compared to other camps in the area.
