It was very central yet quiet. Nice design. Roomy bathrooms.
Tiny room (but it’s normal for Tokyo). Sloooooooow elevators.
The staff!!! Michelleli was one of the nicest people we met on the entire trip. Thoughtful, attentive, capable. And ready to help when we needed her the most. Fantastic.
Modest room size.
Location is fine depending on interests when in Tokyo - didn’t quite suit what my wife and I were looking for, and had to travel a majority of the time.
Rooms were small as they often are in Tokyo, yet they felt more dated than our prior stay elsewhere in Tokyo. staff we encountered was fine, but not always the most helpful.
It is in the prime location. ✨
After days of navigating Japan at full tilt, I walked into lyf Shibuya Tokyo and exhaled for the first time in weeks. From check in to check out - dream service.
This place is a love letter to thoughtful design — every corner curated, nothing accidental. The skateboard-shaped Shibuya mural above the bed. The welcome box of Japanese snacks tucked inside a little blue case. A yukata placed on the bed inviting me into next level comfort. Even the laundry room is a work of art, wrapped floor to ceiling in an isometric cityscape that makes you want to linger over a spin cycle. Vetiver (one of my favorite scents!) mist hanging from the closet rack. “I’ve got a thirst for lyf” mugs waiting by the kettle. A Chandon-branded café downstairs serving eggs Benedict that had no business being that good at a hotel breakfast.
I’ve stayed in beautiful places, but rarely one where every single detail felt like someone was paying attention — not to impress, but to delight. This is the kind of hospitality that makes you want to write a thank-you note.
I wish I stayed longer.
The location was great and was about a 10 minute walk to Shibuya station.
There was a strange smell in the bathroom that didn’t go away.
A quiet , clean, well designed hotel located at the heart of a hectic city. This was our safe haven after a long day of roaming around Tokyo amidst millions of people. The hotel is very modern in its interior design and very colourful. The rooms are small but well planned , taking advantage of every inch. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel offers laundry and dryer services that worked well. The staff was very hospitable and helpful. The breakfast has delicious but small main dishes.
The breakfast buffet was very meager. Just a few vegetables, 2 types of cereal , scrambled eggs and some pastries . I’m used to more rich breakfast buffets. Also, the bath towels are very small and thin.
Loved this hotel. Location is everything. The staff and hospitality is top-notch. Tiny rooms but very clean and comfortable. I would 100% stay here again.
Wish the gym area was a bit bigger.
