Golden Tree Hotel

The staff was very nice! Breakfast was so delicious and made with love. Only stayed 1 night. Hotel just needs a good cleaning

It seemed as though we were the only people there. We had privacy in tye pool area, the pool had a breathtaking view & the gym was very well equipped. The breakfast was delicious, & the bed waa very comfortable.

Area was not the greatest. Hotel was old and not cute at all. Room was dingy and hot water was luke warm.
The staff was friendly and helped out a lot. Owners need to do better. Pool was okay but hot tube did not work so what’s the point to have water in there collecting bugs.
Not worth it. The only good thing was it was a $7 cab ride to the good areas.

I had a short overnight stay in Belize City and this hotel was conveniently located. My room was totally adequate for my needs with a nice fridge and a good AC unit. It met all of my needs. I will stay there again, and hope to check out the pool next time!

The food is usually good but this time, I was quite disappointed. However, it is still my favorite hotel!

The property is old, the rooms are small and it is in bad shape.

Old. Dirty. The 1 elevator was out of service when I arrived mid afternoon. Could not get to my room for a couple of hours. No restaurant. Far from other amenities. Smelly. Not a good hotel. A local told me this hotel has been shut down 3 times in the past for violations. And that it is known to be a “hookup” hotel.

Paid for a city view but got put into a windowless box on the first night because they had overbooked and it was “first come first serve” for the room I paid for, I guess. The box must have been some afterthought when building the hotel because it was tiny, dingy, and dark. Light bulbs were missing. The safety box was just a cash box you’d bring to a little league snack table. It didn’t even have a key, not that it would have stopped a thief anyway.
The next day, after showing them my reservation, they kindly moved us to a much better room. It acted looked like a hotel room. It was a corner room and rather enjoyable. Though, I never got refunded any difference in price for the first night.
The gym was fully stocked and the pool was nice and clean with a great view.

This place is absolutely nothing like described or shown in the pictures. Upon arrival I found it very strange they never asked for a form of ID before letting me into the room. Once in the room there were stains on the bedding, dirty wash cloths in the bathroom, and just looked dirty in general. The advertise for airport shuttles, pool, restaurant/continental breakfast. The pools broke. Been broke according to other reviews. The shuttle isn’t free. It doesn’t run every hour. You have to book with the front desk and it’s $70. When confronted about the hourly free shuttle service to the airport. They acknowledged that they were aware it was still on the site, and that they haven’t done those shuttles in awhile. Yet refuse to update the website and patients until they’re asked. The “breakfast” is a joke. It’s a pot of coffee, some bananas and sketchy looking donuts. Not to mention, you’re not allowed to leave their dark, dim lit, funeral home looking dining area. The staff are rude, not helpful, and you can tell they don’t care overall about being there. The location isn’t good either. Nothing is near the area and the crime rate in that area isn’t the best. Oh also, the doors don’t even have deadbolts on them 🙃 I wouldn’t stay here again if someone paid me. This place and its workers are a joke and this place needs to honestly be condemned. It’s so unsafe and dirty. I’m surprised they’re even allowed to stay open.

Budget friendly hotel. The hotel doesn't have a hair dryer, ironing board or a good restaurant. They do have a snack bar and cold and headache meds which was convenient.
The staff was very pleasant and accomodating but the facility is a bit run down. Particles were dropping from the curtain. They cleaned the room everyday and that was good.

The staff were very friendly. The restaurant had good food. We loved the pool. We felt safe and comfortable as a gay couple, which can be hard to find. Thank you!

The room was extremely small with little to no room to walk around the beds. Very outdated. Upon arrival after seeing how small the room was I asked to get an additional room because there were three of us. After buzzing the extra room I declined because it was on a “local floor” which was ran down worse than than the other room and much smaller.
