Ampllio, limpio y bien ubicado!

Nos quedamos 2 noches en este hotel. Me encantó. El barrio es muy bonito, hay muchos restaurantes y lugares lindos en los alrededores. Además no está lejos de la estación. La habitación limpia, cómoda y muy amplia, eso fue genial porque es más fácil manipular las cosas en el equipaje. El personal fue sumamente amable. Nos apoyaron con el envío de equipaje a nuestro siguiente destino, usamos el servicio de lavandería y es una maravilla. Los productos del baño de muy buena calidad y un aroma delicioso.
El restaurante tiene personal muy lindo, todos te entienden perfectamente y la comida que fueron los desayunos es deliciosa.

Cons:

Quedarme más tiempo en vez de ir a Osaka =)

Misleading Parking Charges, Zero Accountability, Even From the Manager

We booked Hotel Rings Kyoto specifically because http://Booking.com clearly stated that parking was available for ¥2,500 per day. The listing specified this was the daily rate for parking _in the area_, and we parked our car right next to the hotel assuming it applied. This wasn’t a minor detail – it was the main reason we chose this hotel. We were traveling through Japan by rental car and needed predictable parking costs.

At check-in, the hotel never mentioned that this rate didn’t apply to the parking lot we used, nor did they clarify that the listed price was unrelated to their actual charges.

After a 4-night stay, we were shocked to be charged ¥30,300 for parking instead of the ¥10,000 we expected. http://Booking.com confirmed that the listing still showed ¥2,500 per day for this hotel and the surrounding area.

The hotel refused to take any responsibility and declined to compensate the difference. We called the manager directly to explain the situation, but even he refused to help and wouldn’t cover any of the extra cost. Their only suggestion was to call the police if we had an issue with it. Instead of trying to resolve the problem, they shifted all blame onto http://Booking.com and left us to deal with it.

We had no choice but to pay the full amount under protest because we had to return our rental car and couldn’t wait any longer.

This experience made it clear that Hotel Rings Kyoto doesn’t seem to think from the guest’s perspective. Rather than clarifying the misleading info at check-in or trying to find a solution, they deflected responsibility all the way up to management. It created unnecessary stress, unexpected costs, and left us with a very unpleasant end to our stay.

Guests should be able to rely on the information listed for a hotel, especially when it’s the deciding factor for booking.
