Mango Beach House

Our stay at Mango Beach House was truly unforgettable. Set on an idyllic stretch of beach, it felt like paradise—being able to walk straight from our room onto the sand was incredible. The rooms are beautifully curated, each with its own unique character, which we much preferred over the standardised feel of larger hotels. The setting of Mango Beach House is absolutely stunning—we felt incredibly lucky to wake up each day to the beautiful sunrise over the sea right from our room.
From the moment we arrived, the hotel and its staff made us feel completely at home. When we were out exploring during the day, we always looked forward to returning and relaxing back at Mango. The attention to detail was outstanding—from the fresh fruit and amazing mango juice at a delicious breakfast with a sea view, peaceful daytime vibes, and lively Saturday evenings with live music and incredible food and drinks.
The food and cocktails were some of the best we had during our trip, and the staff consistently went above and beyond to make our stay special. Beth and Dulla were incredibly helpful in recommending and organising activities, including local sailing boat and snorkelling, as well as suggesting great local dining spots when we wanted to explore.
A particularly special highlight was how they celebrated my girlfriend’s birthday. The team created a beautiful, personalised beachside dinner with a bespoke menu, cake, decorations, and even a flower arrangement on the bed—it was clear how much care and effort went into making the evening unforgettable.
We feel very lucky to have stayed here—it’s easily one of the most amazing places we’ve ever visited and we would come back in a heartbeat. A huge thank you to Beth, Dulla, and the entire Mango Beach House team for such a memorable experience.

Everything really, well located right on the beach. Beautiful space, feels like a boutique hotel. It is small & intimate, boasting about 7 villas I think meaning there’s never more than 7 groups of people. The space is cozy, rustic and modern all at once. The staff is very attentive, helpful & kind. The restaurant food was amazing especially the breakfast.

It was a fabulous location set on the edge of the beach. Beth and Dulla were wonderful hosts. They made every effort to provide the ambiance for a fabulous Birthday party for my friend. They prepared a wonderful buffet that was enjoyed by all. They also hosted a wonderful evening of music and fire dancers. There was a Taarab musician playing his qanun which was enchanting, as well as vocalist/ guitarist/ drummer playing more familiar tunes. A wonderful way to spend st Valentines evening. A pit was dug on the beach in the shape of a heart and had a fire lit within to add to the ambiance of the evening. I was particularly envious of my friends who had a fabulous little room that opened up to a view of the ocean! Definitely going to wait for another opportunity to book those rooms one day! The pool is a real treat too! Security at Mango is Excellent! I felt very safe even with doors left wide open by me, day and night! so lovely to be able to feel that way! Beth was very interactive and I really enjoyed my chats with her! she is a hostess that made all her guest feel so relaxed, more than welcome, and like family! Thank you so much. We did a lovely excursion on the local sailing boats which was most enjoyable. Getting about was very easy on Tuk Tuks, long walks on the beach most enjoyed by all. I recommend Mango as the loveliest place on Jambiani Beach as it was intimate & homely and right on the edge of the beach.

Delicately resently renovated appartment hotel. Staff were all very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Her there are no sellers trying to catch your attention at all times. Relaxing atmosphere in an oasis.

Équipe aux petits soins, hôtel paisible avec peu de chambres idéalement situé et cadre magnifique, décoré avec goûts. Très bon petit déjeuner et restaurant de très bonne qualité.
Situé au coeur du village, où l’on peut facilement aller à la rencontre des locaux.

Un séjour exceptionnel dans un cadre magnifique, l'hotel est extrêmement bien entretenu, nous avons la vue sur la mer depuis n'importe quel endroit de l'hotel. Le personnel est au petit soin, il y a toujours quelqu'un de présent à n'importe quelle heure du jour ou de la nuit pour nous aider.

Wir reisen seit 5 Jahren nach Sansibar und haben viel gesehen. Das Mango Beach House in Jambiani ist unser Sehnsuchtsort auf ganz Sansibar. Ein kleines Hotel direkt am Meer, liebevoll eingerichtete Zimmern mit viel natürlichen Materialen - man fühlt sich wie im Paradies. In der Küche wird alles frisch zubereitet - ready to order - die Gerichte sind nicht nur unglaublich lecker sondern werden auch wunderschön angerichtet. Kokosnüsse werden direkt vom Baum geerntet und die Cocktail- und Weinkarte kann sich sehen lassen. Die Eigentümerin kümmert sich um jeden Ausflugswunsch, so dass wir die schönsten Ecken und Geheimtipps auf Sansibar sehen durften. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Absolute Empfehlung!

Für uns hat die Unterkunft sogar die bereits positiven Erwartungen übertroffen! Sie liegt direkt am Strand mit unmittelbarem Zugang und wunderschöner Aussicht. Es wurde alles entsprechend der Bilder und Beschreibung angetroffen… und noch viel mehr: Man merkt, wie viel Liebe in der Anlage steckt. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und schön eingerichtet. Im Restaurant wird jeden Tag frisch gekocht, alle sind sehr zuvorkommend. Jede Woche wird eine Dinner Party mit Showeinlage angeboten. Beth und Dullah sind jederzeit (!) verfügbar für Fragen, Anliegen, Planungen von Ausflügen, Unterstützung oder spannenden Gesprächen über Land, Leute und Kultur. Man merkt den Menschen, die dort arbeiten an, dass sie es gerne tun. Wir haben uns wie zuhause gefühlt. Alles in allem gibt es keinerlei negative Rückmeldung von unserer Seite und wir können gerne sagen, dass wir sobald wie möglich wieder kommen!

Les cocktails et les plats sont très bons. Le personnel est super sympa et serviable. Ils ont répondu à chacun de nos besoins et très rapidement. L'hôtel est magnifique et intimiste ce qui est très appréciable pour les personnes qui recherchent de la tranquillité. De plus, depuis la piscine vous aurez une vue exceptionnelle sur l'océan. Rien à redire c'était parfait ! :)
