Henley Town Rooms

The shower head was a little lose but an easy fix.

Somewhere in the vicinity there was a noisy extractor fan on until 3 am. Then it started to rain around 5am , due to a broken gutter beside our window on the property it leaked water onto a wheely bin lid which acted like a drum. Although the rain stopped at 5:30 it continued to drip loudly until 7 am

The room allocated to my friend and myself was not the room I booked through booking.com That room was allocated to another friend of mine (who booked the through owners website after my booking) The room I was allocated had no wardrobe, chest of drawers, no hairdryer, no iron, no in room tea/coffee making facilities, nowhere to hang your clothes, no fire instructions should there be a fire (I thought this was mandatory), the bedroom doors were not fire doors. The beds were poor quality and narrow and uncomfortable and the room was small. In fact this room at best was basic and not "deluxe" as described on booking.com .The shared facilities (between 8 people) - The bathroom was filthy with a dirty bath mat. The owner said this had been cleaned that morning and then after I complained, apparently cleaned again. The photos show the dirty bathroom and mat after it had been cleaned. The water from the sink came out at a trickle. The fridge stank of rotten eggs. The owner said they then removed these when I complained but the fridge needed to have a deep clean as the smell lingered.

The corridor was narrow which was partially blocked by the shared facilities of a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities and should there be a fire, the front door was partially blocked behind it as well, making a potential fire trap for those upstairs.

Everything was perfect.

Could have done with a hook to hang my coat!

You can hear the people in the other rooms cough. One person took almost an hour in the shower at 10pm. The other was clunking around at 3am. This property is very hot and miss.
