A very good stay at an economical price. Stevie the owner was lovely and really cared.
Pros:

The hotel was close to the sea and is being nicely refurbished by the owner who was lovely. The room was was cosy, newly decorated and clean. Breakfast was flexible. An ideal location for our long distance walk around the isle of wight.

Pros:

Excellent views. Nice breakfast with a good variety

Cons:

Bar area locked up when we returned in the evening but i'm sure if we'd asked the owner he would have got us a drink

Gemütlicher Aufenthalt
Pros:

Lassen sie sich vom äusseren nicht täuschen. Die Unterkunft wird zurzeit renoviert. Die Zimmer sind in die Jahre gekommen, jedoch grosszügig und sauber.

Der Gastgeber sehr freundlich.

Parkplätze findet man gleich bei derUnterkunft.

A unique Shanklin experience
Pros:

What a stay!

Steve, the host, was friendly and very accommodating as we needed an earlier breakfast. The room was huge! Clean, well-facilitated, and uniquely decorated with an unobstructed Seaview. I would thoroughly recommend this quirky hotel if you're looking for something different.

Lovely hotel overlooking the sea
Pros:

We stayed at the hotel with our 2 German visitors. We all loved the style of the rooms which were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice from cereal to full English. Steve, the proprietor, did all he could to help us enjoy our stay. The location of the hotel is perfect for the beach, the old town, the Chine and the new town.

Cons:

Due to ongoing renovations the bar and restaurant were not open but there are plenty of places nearby so it was not a problem. We wish Steve all the best in his hard work and hope to be back to see his achievements

Pros:

Steve was very welcoming and is working hard to improve his hotel. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The location was beautiful and a real asset. Breakfast was good but the bacon under cooked and the beans cold.

Cons:

The hotel facade was dated and the decor waiting for renovation. The rooms were very cold on arrival, too warm at night, then freezing in the dining room in the morning.

Pros:

Such a lovely couple running this hotel, so attentive and helpful. This was my 3rd stay here in this hotel in sunny (mostly) 😉 Shanklin. Best sea view, and close to esplanade for bars,lunch and dinner, great sandy sea walks.

Cons:

Nothing wrong, will be great when bar and music room finished.

Pros:

The manager personally gave us extra tea bags and the well cooked breakfast in a relaxing atmosphere was a perfect start to the day.

Cons:

The back of the hotel needs tidying up a bit, as we approached we wondered what was in store but the hotel itself is very comfortable.

We really enjoyed it.
Pros:

Very welcoming staff!
Good breakfast, large selection and everything was fresh. Full English Breakfast.
Beautiful view from some rooms, breakfast area and lounge.

Cons:

Some areas are during refurb, so I believe they will be available for the guests soon.

Hope also for better use or outside area, which has a great potential.
