A basic hotel a serious ride away from San Jose
Pros:

The garden is nice and breakfast good. We liked the on site restaurant.

Cons:

This place is clearly very dated and basics like a water boiler are not in the room. Rooms weren’t very clean and the hotel is just overall run down. There are kids swimming toys that are moldy and dirty for example. The neighborhood doesn’t have many places to eat or go and doesn’t always feel safe. Due to traffic (despite few miles) San Jose is 1,5 hours each way.

Nice, especially the walkways, great for birders/botanists
Pros:

Property, pool, and restaurant were lovely. Happy hour 6-7 pm.

Cons:

Details, really. Huge room, there would have been space for night tables on both sides of beds, instead of just one in between beds that cant be reached from the bed. Could have put a full length mirror on wall. Had to run hot water in sink first in order to get hot water in shower.
Food was good, had vegan option even, but menu very limited- could get old if staying more than a night or two.
We got belly issues, not sure if it was from there, though.

Fantastic stay, great staff, and good birds!
Pros:

The trail system through the gardens is a real plus for birding. The bar and restaurant were exceptional.

Cons:

The noise from the adjoining roads can get loud. Nothing that a pair of earplugs can’t fix, but be aware.

Beperkte ontbijt keuze. Zowel diner als ontbijt was ook redelijk minimaal vwb hoeveelheid.

Great value for a short stay near the airport!
Pros:

Within 20 min of the airport. Very affordable. Friendly staff. The grounds are very nice and the breakfast was yummy. Overall a great value.

I will live here next time in Costa Rica.
Pros:

The staffs are so nice! We stayed here on our first and last days. Since we had too much luggage, we left them at the hotel when we checked out the first time and picked them up when we came back the last day before the flight. The staffs handled everything perfectly. The food was also delicious. The environment of the hotel is great—we came to Costa Rica for birdwatching, and we saw so many birds right here on the property!

Hotel mit schöner Parkanlage, aber verbesserungsfähigem Frühstück
Pros:

Die Hotelanlage war sehr angenehm, wie eine tropische Parkanlage. Der Pool war schön und sauber. Das Personal an der Zufahrt war zuvorkommend.

Cons:

Daran, dass laute Motorräder von der Straße stören, kann das Hotel nicht viel. Aber das Frühstück hat uns nicht zugesagt. Wir hätten uns mehr Früchte gewünscht. Außerdem war der Kaffee, der gratis war, nicht gut. Ein Capuccino oder Espresso hätte eine Zuzahlung erfordert, was wir sehr seltsam fanden. Einen entsprechenden Automat gibt es eigentlich in jedem Hotel, und der kostet normal nichts.

We hebben een goed verblijf gehad.
Pros:

Het huisje- de kamer is gedateerd, wel schoon. Het zwembad was erg mooi. Het hoofdgebouw met het restaurant is keurig, rustig en schoon. Het eten was heerlijk maar wel erg grote porties. Prijs netjes.
Het terrein is netjes onderhouden met mooie planten en bomen.
