Chill but still fun and social.
Pros:

This hostel was very clean, had great social areas and amenities. The best part about this hostel was the staff, they were all super helpful and moreover super friendly, specifically Steve who was very helpful and we had lots of fun with.

Nice hostel with friendly staff but room for improvement
Pros:

The staff were amazing, everyone on reception was so friendly and willing to help. Gave lots of good local food recommendations which were very tasty and more affordable than the popular spots on Google. I also joined the free walking tour with Sam who was a great guide. The hostel had lots of free and paid events which is a great way to plan your stay and meet other guests. I can't comment on the quality of the tours as I didn't go for any paid trips.

The laundry service was very good and so affordable. Breakfast was great, generous portions, a mixed menu to choose from, and tasty fresh fruit.

The location was ideal, right beside Bui Vien walking street. Very close to 7-eleven, family mart, food, pubs etc. Everything you need on your doorstep.

Cons:

The main issue was the noise from building works next door to the hostel, which seemed to be going until late at night and starting again early the next morning. Constant drilling, banging, hammering etc made trying to relax or sleep almost impossible. Even with ear plugs it didn't really drown the noise. If I had known about this I probably wouldn't have booked for as many nights before arriving! Also, the sound-proofing in the dorm rooms is not existent, as from my bed I could often hear speaking level conversations from the outside corridor, again even with earplugs. Maybe in future the hostel can invest in some soundproofing panels or similar.

Also a few smaller issues.Towels were very tiny, barely the size of a hand towel, not big enough to wrap yourself in. The bathroom in the dorm room seemed to have no air ventilation, as a result there was a very strong damp smell, and condensation would drip down from the ceiling. The bed could be a little small if you're over 5'10/11", for me I was okay at 5'6". Also, the lock on the room door didn't seem to work correctly.

Communal areas for socialising are a bit cramped - either the small area by reception, or climbing all the way to the top floor for the bar. The bar was so many stairs away that in the end I didn't claim my free drink per day, because I was too lazy to climb. It seems like a nice space but just something to be aware of if you're lazy like me 😅 I found myself wishing there was a larger, more comfortable and accessible communal area.

Good but could be better
Pros:

Staff is pleasant - they make sure you are being taken care of and all your questions are answered.
Location is pretty dope
They give free beer ticket
Breakfast is decent but I topped it up so thanks to the staff

Cons:

Washrooms are tight and weird. You shower where you shit lol
Rooms could be cleaner
Hygiene is a lil concerns
