It's the quality of the staff that makes Storrs Hall a very special place
Pros:

What really made Storrs Hall a truly superb place wasn't just that the location on the Lake, the stunning grounds and views, the huge, comfortable beds, nor the cleanliness, the breakfast or dining in the Bistro with delicious food, it was, the STAFF. Not only were they exceptional - all of them, but Tracy and Ildiko in particular, who attended us often, but their personable, nothing was too much trouble approach made all the difference. It's clear Storrs Hall prides itself on finding not only wonderful individuals, but those that make a team what a team should be. A wonderful way to spend our anniversary.

A delightful hotel in the Lake District.
Pros:

The hotel was very nice with an old-time feel to it. The room was very comfortable with a very nice bathroom and shower. Our room had a lovely view of the rear garden and lake. Breakfast was a real treat and dinner at the Bistro was very nice as well. The staff throughout couldn't have been nicer. We would definitely come back for another stay in the future.

Cons:

Unfortunately, the main restaurant was not open for dinner while we were there (mid-week).

Loved the location on Lake Windermere. It’s out of town and nice and quiet. It felt very stiff though, the staff weren’t

Cons:

The food and drinks are so overpriced ! The vodka was £16-50 / Gin -£15-50!! You then had to add your mixer on . Silly prices ! It’s a shame that let it down . The sitting area doesn’t have music on so it’s like a library, everyone can hear your conversations. . Our room was 17- the curtains wouldn’t close on 1 of the bedroom windows , so I couldn’t sleep as the light came in . I reported to the reception , 1 member of staff spoke to me but said he couldn’t do anything & the general manager would contact me . I am still waiting for any response! It’s not good enough ,they have had your money so they are clearly not interested . This was our anniversary, a night away , so when I couldn’t sleep it’s just the not acceptable . Customer service extremely poor.

Restaurant staff very friendly & polite, one lady in particular ( with a hair bun ) was so charming and nothing was too much when it came to breakfast wishes e.g. cheese for my wife. The grounds are so peaceful when you sit outside for drinks etc and the view over the lake is a dream.
