The Retreat Hotel

Keine Reaktion auf mehrfache Rückfragen zum Frühstück bis nach dem Checkout. Hier gab es leider nur vorgefertigte Texte, jedoch keine Antwort zum Frühstück, welches recht dürftig war. Kein Kaffee, keine Wurst, kein Käse. Vermieter war telefonisch nicht zu erreichen. Ich frage mich was bei einem Notfall passiert wäre, da es keine besetzte Rezeption gibt.

Check in zu kompliziert wenn man nicht sehr sicher mit dem Handy ist.

The property hasn’t had any updating for a very long time. Everything was extremely spartan - eg not even anywhere to hang up towels. Some rooms were huge with little furniture and a lot of wasted space. Unfortunately the bread at the very basic self-serve breakfast was mouldy, and the juice cartons were out of date. One of our towels had what looked like grass stains. The dining room had a strange smell to it. With some investment this could be a really nice lodge, but unfortunately it let us down.

Ein uraltes Hotel dass mann mit dem nötigsten etwas aufgemöbelt hat. Hinter einem Vorhang hatte es Spinnweben. Wie waren zu viert, aber nur drei könnten sich jeweils mit dem WiFi verbinden. 2 Betten/ umgeklappten Sessel waren sehr unbequem.

Pillows were very uncomfortable and there was no fan which was needed

Bathroom could be renoavated a bit

The bedding was not only poor quality but hadn’t seen an iron in a very long time, the pillowcases were the same and were too small for the pillows. The whole room was substandard and we only stayed because we couldn’t find any other room anywhere that night. Booking.com really should look at whether this premises should be on their books or not. The bath was literally a health hazard and I have photos to prove it.

Aucun personnel. On se débrouille tout seul, c’est étrange et très impersonnel.
La chambre est moyennement confortable. Lit une personne peu large (assimilable à un lit d’enfant)

Room came with a double bed and two futons, which were pretty uncomfortable and didnt feel like they matched the cost of the room.
Shower was old with no pressure. Felt like a drizzle rather than a water stream. Did not have the breakfast.

Absence totale de personnel , tout se fait en ligne ...
La chambre est plus que moyenne au niveau équipement et propreté .
La douche : problème d'écoulement d'eau , joints moisis etc...
La porte laisse passer la lumière du couloir , allumée en permanence.
Le petit déjeuner est un buffet où tous les produits sont industriels et en emballage individuels : croissant emballé , café lyophilisé, céréales en sachet etc...même le porridge est en pot individuel à réchauffer au micro-onde qui trône dans la salle du petit dej .
Et cerise sur le gâteau , une caméra de vidéosurveillance vous tient compagnie.
Même le bar est en self-service, pas de personnel . Un simple QR code pour vous inviter à payer ...

The second room with the bank bed was cramp a bit

All was great, no staff on site at the desk.

Zimmer und Bad waren sehr klein, sah auf den Fotos viel größer aus
Man konnte Frühstück zubuchen aber nur abgepackte Lebensmittel und wieder kein Personal

Kleine kamer en de incheck verloopt automatisch en duurt wat langer daardoor geen personeel aanwezig

It was a very old hotel that Basil Fawlty had abandoned just after he arranged repairing the shower. It had a feel of the Mary Celeste with no staff onsite at all. It just texts you with the code to access your room. The bedside lamp kept fading in and out at night to add to the atmosphere! If you had any issues you could email them? The bathroom was all patched up and had mouldy tiles.
