Managed by a private host
It's a good accomodation. It has all you need. WiFI is very good (video call no problem).
AC is a little noosy.
We stayed here for 3 weeks and the place had all the facilities we needed for a comfortable stay. A well equipped kitchen and bathroom, good WiFi and AC - a great value place. Mohan is a top guy and a very attentive host who is always available to help. We also visited Mohan’s home during our stay and it was lovely meeting his family, having a tour round the garden, and enjoying delicious authentic Sri Lankan food. Would recommend hiring a bike if staying here.
We totally love the place. It's clean, big and super comfortable. The AC was a nice plus and the wifi worked perfectly all the time (watching movies and working with it)
The big pro is Mohan (the owner) and his family. They are the cutest and most kind people ever. They welcomed us to their home and they were so so nice.
I would highly recommend staying here
I can't recommend this Airbnb enough—it's an absolute gem, and the host, Mohan, made our stay unforgettable. If you're planning to visit Mirissa, do yourself a favor and stay here, you won't regret it!
Here’s why:
1. **Incredible Host**: Mohan went above and beyond to make our stay feel like home. He was kind, generous, and always available to help. From the moment we arrived, it was clear he genuinely cared about our experience. His hospitality was unparalleled!
2. **Family Dinner**: One of the highlights of our trip was when Mohan invited us to join his family for dinner. It was such a warm, heartwarming experience, and we felt like part of the family. Everyone was so welcoming and kind—this is truly a place where you’ll feel like you belong.
3. **Amazing Handwriting**: A small but memorable detail—Mohan’s son Tharun has the most amazing handwriting! Make sure to check it out when you’re there—it’s a true work of art.
4. **Clean & Comfortable**: The tiny house was impeccably clean and well-maintained. It felt cozy yet spacious, with all the little touches that make a place feel like home. Every room was spotless and thoughtfully designed.
5. **Convenience**: Mohan also helped us arrange a scooter for getting around, which was super convenient and made exploring Mirissa so much easier.
6. **Stunning Beach**: There's a beautiful beach just across the road, and it’s not to be missed! The sunsets there are breathtaking, and it’s the perfect spot to unwind.
If you’re visiting Mirissa, **stay here**! You’ll not only enjoy the comforts of a modern tiny house, but you’ll also experience the warmth and hospitality of a host who truly cares about making your stay special. Thank you, Mohan, for making our trip unforgettable!
Nothing to dislike here
Great house - clean, in a quiet location, with a garden and close to the road but without the noise of it. I was very pleased with the hospitality of the hosts
I regret staying at Mohan's only on my last day in Sri Lanka.
This place is an allrounder, whether you want some peace of mind at home (it's not further from the main road but you won't hear traffic) or an active lifestyle, the location is between Weligama, Mirissa and Matara, all what these locations offer are within reach especially after Mohan provided a bicycle for rent then I asked for a scooter later. Bus station is right next to the place as well.
Mohan is a wonderful person, his family is very kind and they invited me for dinner multiple times, unfortunately I could go only once, it was a very good experience cause his actual place of residence is in another village deep in the jungle and I loved the ride there. He also once took me to a beautiful temple and we had some local food in a hidden gem on our
way.
If you need anything, Mohan will go above and beyond to help you with it. Whether it's WIFI, cleaning, renting a bike or an adventure, you name it.
Neighbors are his relatives, so it's pretty safe as well.
Sometimes when I leave for too long, the smell of humidity becomes strong, but I think this is due to the weather in Sri Lanka in general.
