Nice small hotel with caring people.
Pros:

The Brisas is a family-owned hotel on a relatively quiet street. The woman who greeted us, a family member, was wonderfully welcoming. She spoke excellent English. I left my passport at the hotel, prior to a guided tour of the Pantanal. Our guide helped me locate my passport and this wonderful hotel gave it to a tour company employee who gave it back on the last day of my trip. Breakfast offered many options. Everything was delicious. Cuiaba us the gateway to the Pantanal. The hotel has lovely murals of some of the animals found there. Our room even had a small Jabiru stock drawn on the bathroom wall. A grocery store is about a 15 minute walk away.

Cons:

The beds, like all beds we experienced in Brazil, seem to be a thick slab of foam.
There is no restaurant on site for dinner, and any options are at least a 10 minute walk away. I wouldn't suggest walking alone, though my daughter and I walked to the grocery store after dark and felt safe.

Pros:

Foi uma grata experiência vivida por uma semana no BRISAS.
O pessoal da recepção nos tratou super bem durante toda a estadia, sempre.preocuados em oferecer o melhor e com muita cordialidade! Destaque para o Juarez (se nao me engano é esse o nome dele, lembro-me de ser "Ju...") que é muito atencioso e simpático!
O chefe Ricardo faz pratos maravilhosos no almoço e jantar.. sempre preocupado em oferecer o melhor. E tem o apoio da Carol que atende as mesas, uma querida!
A equipe do café da manhã tambem é muito atenciosa!
Sobre a estrutura do hotel, não ha o que falar. O flat é extremamente espaçoso, confortável e bem equipado. A limpeza é impecável!
Próximo ao hotel tem algumas boas opções de restaurantes, mercado grande e farmácia. Super viável para pegar uber.

Cons:

Espero que eles consigam ampliar as estruturas do hotel, para que futuramente tenham academia. Acredito ser um conforto a mais aos hospedes.
