Ruime, luxe kamer, zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame staf, goed ontbijt en avondeten en een fijne locatie (naast een levendige markt en dichtbij de metro).
The staff and facilities were great. Very clean. The breakfast and dinner were basic however good food. Location was very good near a large food street and close to the Walmart.
The room was quite small however had everything we needed.
A great location -- next to a market and across from a neighborhood park/pond. Also within walking distance of the main Cuihu Park. The rooms have been modernized and are very up-to-date (projector instead of a TV, automatic curtains and lights, etc.). Although, this actually is a little inconvenient, since you can't manually control things. It's almost too modern. Overall, however, the hotel offers great value. A good place to stay. Not luxurious, but modest and clean and has remodeled rooms. The beds, too, were excellent, so one sleeps well. Breakfast is more than adequate.
The lighs in the room are hard to individually control and adjust to your preference -- they are either seemingly all on or all off. And the foyer light automatically turns on if you move at night, which is slightly annoying if you wake to use the restroom. Hotel staff is polite, but not excessively accommodating.

Very helpful kind staff despite language barrier. Complementary breakfast, drinking water and dinner for the guests. Variety of options with local food varieties. House keeping everyday. The food market nearby. The location was so central. We could reached important places we wanted to visit very cheaply and easily. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel for comfortable stay in Kunming.
Pillows could have been more comfortable. Kunming Spring City Boutique Hotel name wasn’t shown on ride hailing apps such as Didi. The locally known established name of the hotel has been Spring City Star Hotel. Initially it has been very confusing when attempting to find the place and organising the transport from Kunming South Station to the hotel after long hours of exhaustive train travel.

Complimentary evening meal on first day of arrival & breakfast included was good Chinese fair.
Great room and location. Free dinner and breakfast buffets made the stay especially good value if you like Chinese food.
It’s undergoing renovation making the entrance a little hard to find - enter through the underground car park to the temporary reception then take the lift
