Our new Favourite Place!
Pros:

The staff were absolutely amazing! We couldn't have been more cared for or better looked after!

Excellent! Unique, stylish and friendly hotel.I have already recommended this hotel to my colleagues
Pros:

Lovely boutique hotel in a very lovely countryside setting, right next to the forest. Food was excellent. Staff were very friendly and very helpful. Lovely inside and outside. Added bonus was the wee dog and the parrot! Loved it!

Cons:

I am not easily impressed, but I was very impressed with my stay here. Only slight thing I would change is bathroom was slightly dated, but worked well and loved toiletries provided.

Very comfortable unpretentious friendly hotel with good food

Super hotel. Good value.
Pros:

A super 3 star hotel situated in a great location. Very comfortable large room. Simple but good menu. Drinks reasonably priced. In Mabie Forest so walking and biking good.

Cons:

Shower could be better.

A great stay - we'll be back!
Pros:

Beautiful location, great food, comfortable room. Basil the parrot is a real character. Staff were great.

Cons:

The shower was on the cool side, maybe due to poor water pressure on the top floor.. Otherwise all great 👍

Comfortable stay in quiet location
Pros:

Comfortable bed, lovely reception/lounge area. Good food in the restaurant/bar. Breakfast was tasty. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. ideal location for Mabie mountain biking or touring the Solway coast

Cons:

Shower flow was a bit weak (room 8) and no local (or even Scottish!) beer at the bar

Superb staff, comfortable stay
Pros:

Staff were really friendly. Lovely old building, spacious room. The food served was plentiful and good value. Easy parking. I will visit again when next in the area.

Lovely hotel and meal
Pros:

Location good, cosy and friendly, food very good

Cons:

The room was very cold, perhaps not used a lot and forgot to put on.. portable heater provided and sparely used which brought the room up-to temperature and then switched off. Room then stayed at a comfortable temperature.
