Mabie House delivered the basics wih a touch of style .
Pros:

The initial welcome was warm and courteous. The bedroom wallpaper was tasteful! The parrot, on guard, at the bottom of the stairs, added a touch of eccentricity to the general vibe of faded elegance.

Pros:

The staff were all welcoming and friendly. The hotel had a very relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast and evening meals were excellent. With the rain it was a bit chilly but hotel had radiators on in our room so were very comfortable.Our stay at Mabie was relaxed and a perfect start to our holiday.

Cons:

The weather; unfortunately heavy rain so didn’t get to explore the gardens and adjacent forest. We plan to go back,

The property was lovely staff was very helpful they couldn’t be more helpful of they tried. The meals were fantastic and great value for the money. Really enjoyed the stay would recommend this to many one.

Great, would definitely recommend to others without hesitation.
Pros:

Unpretentious country house hotel. Very friendly with a relaxed atmosphere.
Staff were amazing, so friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. Chef and kitchen staff also deserve a mention for their tasty well presented dishes served efficiently.

Cons:

Nothing really. Decor is what you would expect in this period property.

Lovely food but needing an upgrade
Pros:

Lovely food and a comfortable bed

Cons:

The shower had hardly any water and it went from scorching to freezing , no lift and didn’t like the parrot out the cage.
The room was clean enough but found cobwebs on the bathroom window and ridges if the door and skirting boards were needing a clean

Mabie House is genuinely the most perfect, relaxing experience from the moment you step through the front entrance.
Pros:

We have stayed previously and simply keep returning. From the warm, friendly welcome on arrival and the level of customer service throughout our stays we will continue to be return guests.
