The sauna was just about the only acceptable feature of this hotel.

Cons:

Where do I start. Deplorable. The staff were just about as rude as it gets and it made the whole stay miserable. The room was uncomfortable with the temperature setting (apparently incapable of being changed) absolutely sauna-style (staff audibly laughed at me when I asked how to fix this). The bed is the sort of thing I'd imagine they give you in prison and there was a cockroach outside the balcony door. Something in the bathroom leaked leaving a nice watery pool. The ski rental shop was unmanned during opening hours so good luck getting your equipment (which also wasn't great quality). The absolute low point came when I needed to go to hospital and asked about the nearest A&E - they were zero help and sent me to what can only be described as a ramshackle concrete shed with zero facilities to actually treat a serious injury, which they seemed to find amusing. Customer service are not words any single member of their staff are familiar with. Bankso in general is a hovel and my experience of the Lion well and truly cemented that view.

Fantastisch verblijf voor een wintersportvakantie.
Pros:

Ruime kamers, goed ontbijtbuffet en alles voor een fijne skivakantie. Zo was er skiverhuur in het hotel en een gratis shuttlebus naar de skilift. Ook heerlijk om na het skiën te ontspannen in het zwembad en de wellness.

Cons:

Aan de kamers kan wat onderhoud gepleegd worden. Met name vochtschade aan de kozijnen.

The pool is cold, the spa is disappointing
Pros:

The staff are kind and welcoming. They helped us find a parking spot.

It's clean.

The food is ok.

Cons:

We booked this stay for the internal pool and the spa. The pool is cold. Not tepid, cold. My partner barely used it and I did not use it at all. On our second day, the pool was closed for maintenance until noon, so it could not be used anyway. I mean, the maintenance could have been done during breakfast hours.

The spa area is cold as well. The tiled loungers were not even warm enough.

It was a totally disappointing experience. I now understand the hotel mainly caters to skiers and that the spa and pool are managed by a contractor, but the hotel management should really make sure all facilities live up to the price.

The room was cold, too. We asked for additional duvets because it was too cold at night.

There is free parking outside the hotel (on hotel premises) but when we arrived and asked where to park, the manager immediately tried to guide us to the paid parking underground. Only when I pointed out that it said 'free parking' in the booking, did they explain the parking outside belongs to the hotel and is free. Not cool. It was a kind member of the security staff that helped us find a spot.

Clean, close to ski lift, best value for money
Pros:

The hotel was very clean and comfy, breakfast is delicious, nice pool area, but the best thing was the ski rental shop inside the hotel and the shuttle bus.Life changing! Will be back again!
