From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted. All bookings are subject to an additional MYR 2 Heritage Charge per room per day. Great stay. Great ;ocation
Pros:

Found the staff fantastic and extremely helpful. The atmosphere was great too. Visited w family and they worked to get all of us as close to each other as possible. Location was strategic i.e. close to Jonker street and tourist spots..

Cons:

Parking is limited. We were lucky to get a place but just barely

Very satisfy
Pros:

Breakfast is reasonable good, is not 5 star but edible. Mostly Malaysian food plus Western. Location is super just a walking distance to famous Jongker Walk.

Cons:

Sound proof need to be upgraded.

Highly recommended!
Pros:

This is the perfect place to stay in Melaka. It’s a beautiful colonial style building in a lovely street. The rooms are comfortable and have everything you need. We particularly liked the extra touches - lots of water bottles provided, a fridge for keeping water cool, tea and nightly sweet treats and nice soaps etc in the bathroom. We had a room with a balcony which gave us a bit more space. It was very good value for money. Staff were always friendly.
We also appreciated the gym which had a good range of equipment.
The location is great - close to Jonker St, some of the best restaurants and is walking distance to everything in Malacca. Note that the Grab pickup point is at the rear. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel but there are lots of breakfast options nearby.

The security guard was so good that he make sure I can park my car just in front of the hotel for the convenience of my wheelchair bound husband

Pros:

The service rendered was exceptional amazing and check-in/check-out was a breeze.

Cons:

Room service didnt clean properly. There's still sticky stains underneath the waste basket.

Not as good as expected

Good central location.

Cons:

When we first arrived, the lady who greeted us didn’t even say hello. She just said you can’t check in yet and waved her hand towards an area around the corner where we could leave our bags. However, this wasn’t clear at all and we had to check again what she meant. Then when we did come back later to check in, it was more difficult than it needed it to be, and we were told multiple times that we did not have breakfast included. It was only when I retrieved the printed booking confirmation that I carried out with me, she finally accepted it. The room then had ants crawling all over the desk. We spoke to housekeeping the first time, and they came to clean, however when we came back later, there were even more ants climbing up over the walls, so after a manager came to check, we were moved rooms, however the room class appeared to be lower than we’d booked as it was much smaller. We also had the high tea while we were there but it was all a very strange affair and the guy serving us didn’t really appear to know what to do with us, and we felt he might’ve benefitted from some training from the hotel. Breakfast was also a bit cold and not much choice. Overall, our stay was not the best and not worth the money we paid.

Pros:

This is my second time staying at Baba House Melaka, and the facilities are just as new after a few years. The location is great too, as it is just a hop away from Jonker Street, and near the bus pickup/drop off point. The gym is also well-equipped.

Cons:

The towels were a bit old.

Pleasent. value for money. If its a 1 night stay then nothing like Baba house
Pros:

Hotel location is superb. Breakfast is good. Staff is friendly. Its close to all the tourist places.

Cons:

Rooms are too small. Its ok for 1 night stay. But no space to sit except the bed.
