Pros:

Fantastic location, just walking distance to Jonker street. Staff very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is an old colonial building (i think!) and I like how they maintain the design and some furnitures to give us a feel of baba nyonya culture

Cons:

The first room we got - the smell was bad. The staff said it happened after heavy rain with the old sewage pipe system (i guess). But they were fast to accommodate to change room. The public toilets in the restaurant or the gym could improve in cleanliness.

A quick escape into the past, right in the heart of the Malacca City ✨ Stayed at Baba House Melaka — just steps away fr
Pros:

The Baba House is only a few doors away from Jonker Walk Street.
Love the Peranakan features throughout the hotel with a rustic modern style - it’s like staying at a museum! You get to enjoy the comforts of modern living while immersing yourself in the beautiful historic setting.

Cons:

There was nothing to shout about on its breakfast buffet - we were there around 9 am and noticed some food was not replenished.
Somehow have the impression they’re short-handed - we had to look for their staff when we wanted to have dinner; same situation during breakfast.
There was a faint sewerage smell when we entered the room - but we noticed the smell was also around Jonker Street. So it’s more of the city’s issue rather than the hotel.
