Good stay, value for money
Pros:

Staff, Adi/ Eddy is very nice and helped us with money exchange, boat tickets for the slow ferry (because the fast ferry was not going) and other things!
The room is big, clean and aircon works well.
There is a water (hot and cold) refill station

Cons:

We arrived late in the evening and the road/ way leading towards the guests house is very steep up..... nothing bad. But I am supriced none of the other guests mentioned this.
The room is big and then then shower is a bit small..... but good pressure and clean. + Big towels!
Due to Rammadan and low season a lot of eateries were closed and also the guesthouse didnt serve food.
Still we found some places nearby for food.

evergreen lodge our refuge during monsoon.
Pros:

we had a warm welcome and all the interactions from the staff to phillip the owner were great and made us feel at home. warm, helpful and informative. i know where i'll stay when i return to padang.

Cons:

we arrived in the monsoon with heavy rain so the walk up the hill was little precarious. we arrived without notice otherwise they would have brought umbrellas and helped us with our baggage. they provided umbrellas so we were sorted when we went out for dinner and they helped carry our bags down when we left.

Pros:

The property is well located and not too far by walking from the busy areas.
The staff is very nice and will try to help you organize some activities when possible.

Cons:

The days we went there were a bit messy due to a big booking from a group of 20 people. Otherwise it is a nice place.

An escape high in the hills above Padang
Pros:

This homestay has a fun holiday vibe, in the hills above Padang Old Town. But what makes it an amazing place to stay is the staff -- so positive and helpful and informative. The menu is an interesting mix of European and Indonesian: I loved the muesli and fruit for breakfast, and I honestly had the best vegetarian curry of my life.

Pros:

Wir hatten unerwartet einen der tollsten Aufenthalte hier in unserem Urlaub. Unglaublich nettes Team, super hilfsbereit, tolles Haus mit mehreren Gemeinschaftsräumen, einer mega Dachterrasse und schönen, sauberen Zimmern. Wir haben es so genossen, dass wir aus einer Nacht gleich mehrere machten :)

Ciepła woda i umywalki co w Indonezji w tańszych miejscach nie jest standardem

The best place to stay in Padang
Pros:

The staff is great and the common areas are fantastic. The views over Padang from the balconies can’t be beat. We also appreciated the free coffee in the morning. They also serve food - the pumpkin curry was amazing! The WiFi is super strong which was a first during our travels in Indonesia. Overall, we’d stay here again.

Cons:

Our sheets smelled a bit sour and there was a fair amount hair on the floor of our room when we checked in. Also - not a complaint but just fyi - the hostel is located up a very steep hill. If you have any mobility issues, this isn’t the hostel for you.
