The room was comfortable & clean. Good vacilities and not too far from Paddington station, but...
The entry was very complicated with 3 different password locks which were difficult to use. The passage up to the room was very shabby, and up 2 flights of extremely narrow and steep stairs. Once inside the flat there was another steep and narrow staircase. This access is not suitable for people with heavy bags or cases. Due to the proximity of the railway, the property is very noisy. Overpriced.
The room (number 3) was extremely comfortable, cosy and clean. The location was very good, the provision of ear plugs, the coffee machine and some chocolates were a good extra too.
Good location, fair price. Clean rooms and the shared bathroom regularly checked. Quick to respond on the app.
Entry instructions are convoluted. Multiple doors/codes. No staff/owner present.
The room is nice and cozy and perfect size for 1 or 2 people. Though the bathroom is shared, I didn't have any conflicts using it, didn't even have to wait for someone once. It's also perfectly located, as it's close to Paddington Station, it's perfect to arrive from Heathrow airport and there's buses and Underground stations really close that make it really easy to move around London. And the room has great soundproofing, so I didn't even hear the trains!
The building stairs are a bit narrow and it was a little difficult to go up and down with the suitcases, but besides that everything was great.
Clear check in instructions and great communication from the host (whoever that was - "the Chronicler team"). TV had YouTube and Netflix and fridge in room along with complimentary coffee and tea and chocolates and earplugs. Noise not an issue from train (but this was winter so doors always closed). Host accepted late check out (11am) however check in 3pm so I think that's fair. Comfy bed.
Walls are thin so you just have to hope for considerate neighbours - we had people speaking loudly next door. Tough getting suitcases up three flights of steps (the door to the apartment is up two flights are there are 5 rooms - 3 are another flight up). Fridge makes a loud noise.
The room and shared bathroom were both very clean and comfortable, owner was always available on the phone when ever we had a problem
I stayed in Room 3 and would triple check the door was lock when left, however every-time I arrived back the room door was unlocked, nothing stolen or anything but made me on edge the whole stay and in fear of leaving the room due to the uncertainty of the locks, also as a 20year old female it made me very on edge when trying to rest at night
After my last stay (Oct. 9-13) I had suggested pull handles on the inside of the room door and, especially, on the inside of the locking door on the second floor. I was very impressed to find them installed upon my return.
Two suggestions: 1. Given the shared bathroom, a really nice touch would be to provide bathrobes with the rooms.
2. The instructions for opening the 2nd floor locking door should mention the need to hit the "check mark" before entering the pass code.
Convenient to the Royal Oak tube station, a short walk into Bayswater with plenty of amenities for food and drink .Transport via London bus was also excellent. The room was great ironed out with good communication from the hosts after initial problems
On arrival the key situation regarding entry was not the best, once in the staircase was not very good ,not much room to take your luggage up the stairs,very small. The premises is right next to the railway/tube line so its noisy .My main concern within the property is its a shared bathroom which is stated in there policy but should be stated in the advert to book the room . And finally i could only see one fire exit which was not signed properly to leave in case of an emergency and no Fire extinguishers. This is a room more applicable to one night stays . They did state that work was being carried out and i trust that this will be good for the business.
Need a pull handle on the inside of the heavy door on the second floor and the handles on the room door should be on the inside.

Location was amazing, you can hear the trains but not to a very disturbing extent, and it was disclosed beforehand. The bathrooms were very clean and spacious. The room was perfect, plenty of storage for clothes ans belongings, big comfy bed. I think it was great value for money, given the space we had, and privacy!
