the staff were polite and friendly and the beds were comfortable with nice, green views of Mattancherry. The room was fairly clean. The cleaning service the next day did not happen in the morning like we requested, but in the evening - it was a bit shocking to come back to someone casually letting us know they haven't gotten around to it yet but they made up for it with a sweet towel toy for our kid and a note apologising along with a cleaning service in the evening. It was walking distance of things within Mattancherry.
I think if this place were priced between 4000- 6000 INR per night - I would have rated it better. For the 12,500 I paid per night - it grossly undelivered. the toilet seats were broken, the rug was stained, we asked for an early check in and waited for 3 hours because they got the wrong room ready, the bathroom was just weird with no ventilation and there is no third space to hang out in for the price they are charging. breakfast was passable. coffee was bad. the entire building seemed to be a mess throughout the day.
pulizia perfetta, camere spaziose, bella accoglienza, personale molto gentile e disponibile
The property was close to most tourist locations. The room size was decent and the bed was very comfortable. It was also quite sound proof
I was originally provide a room in the 2nd floor where the AC was not working properly. This was sorted when the room was changed.
A nice lounge area
Very nice hotel!

It was nice, clean and comfortable
Dutch Manor was not a heritage property like they advertised. The property was too expensive for the location and what it offered. It’s just that for the Kochi biennale the rates were more than doubled and it wasn’t worth ₹15,000 per night. In April the rates are ₹7000 per night which is their actual rate.
The food is less than average.
Very good location and room was clean.
It’s a small, clean, well maintained hotel. What made it lovely was the staff Kamal, Vishnu and ?Hiresh as well as kitchen staff.
Room was on the 3rd floor but if you have knee issues be aware that it is via stairs only. Large rooms with good air conditioning and good comfortable bedding.
Breakfast was different and interesting and Vishnu kindly packed some papaya for me as my driver had arrived.
The bathroom and toilet were nice however despite having the heater on for over 30 mins, water wasn’t warm throughout the wash. It started warm then became Luke warm at best.
Being a solo female traveler, the location was my main reason for a lower score. Although it is walking distance to Jew Town and Synagogue and Dutch Palace, the main eateries and sights are in the Fort Kochi area which was a 40 min walk. If you want to get away from it all, this place is tucked away and gives you a good feel of local life.
Excellent staff. Helped with booking taxis and tours in advance of our arrival. Good breakfast. Clean and comfortable rooms. Short rickshaw ride to main tourist area.
Lunch service was slightly slow. Cold bottled water in the room would be a nice touch.
The location was excellent, very friendly and helpful staff.
