I loved the gorgeous historic architecture and the location. I also liked the ease of parking right on property.

Lovely pousada . Staff great. Need more staff in restaurant for dinner.

First night waited quite a while in restaurant fir menu due to lack of staff.
Also had to send food back on another night.but have to say staffcwere so friendly and not their fault.

Lovely hotel, excellent staff but dogs should not be allowed
Pros:

Building was stunning, very well renovated but with history maintained

Cons:

Air-conditioning wasn’t as powerful as it could be. It was on full but room was still warm

Also, while we were by the pool, a family who had a dog with them, allowed their dog to poo by a tree near the pool with the owner not cleaning up. While the hotel can’t be held responsible for this guest, I would suggest banning dogs. Most hotels have this rule for this reason, so guests don’t have to sidestep dog-poo while by the pool

Would absolutely choose to stay here again!
Pros:

All staff were exceptionally attentive and helpful. Location is excellent. Facilities are lovely. Breakfast was abundant and delicious.

Pros:

Edifício bem restaurado e muito bonito, com boa localização. Pequeno-almoço excelente. O restaurante da pousada (Mouraria) é também excelente. Funcionários competentes e muito amáveis. Menção especial para o Sr. Alexandre.

Gostaria que os funcionários, seguindo por certo orientações superiores, não falassem em primeiro lugar em inglês: a pousada está em Portugal, país em que se fala português,

Voldoet met uitzondering van het ontbijt totaal niet aan de verwachtingen.

Cons:

Zeer pover(onsmakelijk) eten in het restaurant. De kamertemperatuur was te warm en niet te regelen. De douche heeft een minimaal niet te regelen straaltje. De bar had maar drie wijnen, rood, wit en rosé van een minder dan middelmatige wijnproducent . Geen wijnkaart dus. Belachelijk voor dit niveau. Personeel is heel lief maar totaal niet gekwalificeerd.
