Clean, cosy hotel in the heart of Exmouth
Pros:

Great location right in the centre of town - Easy walking to the shops and the seafront

Cons:

The staff weren’t the friendliest. The room was pretty plan - nothing special. It could do with a makeover. There was no room service.

Pleasant atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and they go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. Lovely breakfast,everything methodically laid out and labelled. Situated on the beach front with a beautiful seaview.

Cons:

There wasn't anything to dislike.
The only tip would be that some of the skirting in our room could have done with a touch of paint and the rail on the wall to go up a couple of steps from the bathroom was loose.
There's quite a few steps to go up to the hotel which wouldn't be any good for a disabled person, maybe a ramp put in place somewhere as although there's an outside lift to get into the hotel it is out of use and dilapidated, I've read reviews from two years ago saying the same thing so nothing has been done about it.

Great stay at a great location.
Pros:

Great location, close to everything and (paid) parking at the property is a bonus.
We have had repeated stays-it’s a very good price and we like Exmouth.

Overall, while the breakfast was enjoyable, the service and room condition left a lot to be desired.
Pros:

The breakfast was very good, with ample choices available. There was a wide selection of both hot and cold options, so there was something to suit everyone. It was definitely one of the better parts of the stay.

Cons:

The gentleman at the front desk was not at all friendly. He looked quite bored with his job and gave the impression that he didn’t really want to be there. He kept wheeling forwards and backwards on his chair to move around, which didn’t appear very professional and added to the overall poor first impression.

The room itself was your standard dated room. It felt tired and in need of updating. There was a red-coloured stain on the ceiling, which was concerning to see. The bathroom had chipped paint, making it look worn and poorly maintained. There was also a trouser press attached in the room, which felt quite outdated.

In addition, there was only one mug and one sachet of coffee provided. I ended up having to buy my own Nescafe coffee in the end, which was inconvenient and disappointing.

Loved this hotel.
Pros:

Great room, lots of space, lovely balcony overlooking beautiful garden, and sea view. Staff were very friendly, helpful..lovely atmosphere in the hotel. Great location for the beach and walking into the town.

Very enjoyable and comfortable stay in a great location.
Pros:

Wonderful location. Spacious room. Great breakfast. Very friendly and efficient staff, nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel very welcome. We were there for a family party in the function room which was superb.

Cons:

There was nothing we didn’t like. We understand that the hotel is about to be refurbished and certainly the furniture and furnishings in the room is ready for that.

Fantastic stay
Pros:

I have stayed at the Imperial hotel on numerous occasions and always found the staff very polite. The room was clean and spacious with a fantastic view of the beach and its central location.
