Comfortable stay in this lovely historical hotel.
Pros:

Easy to book. Good price. Good breakfast. Bar available.
Very pleasant and helpful staff.
Very clean. Good shower. Comfortable bed. Good sized room. No issues with equipment or furniture.
Spacious grounds. Very convenient for town centre, seafront and amenities.
Good parking onsite. Near railway station and buses.
Beautiful historical building.

Cons:

Nothing that worried us.
We know the hotel has been under renovation for a few years as we have visited several times. The improvements are good so we were disappointed to hear that it will close to be transformed into a different type of hotel, meaning that we will probably not be able to afford to stay there in the future. What a shame!

Pros:

Location and parking are great, amazing cafe opposite.
Breakfast has definitely improved as was lovely.

Cons:

Bar closes early, could do with the hall porter or person on reception being able to serve guests after hours.

Booked superior sea-view and met expectations ... only negative was that could hear the person(s) in room above marching up and down all night; else, excellent.

Cons:

Could have provided glass cups for water instead of (or in addition to) the disposable plastic cups in bathroom

Location was very good

Cons:

Over priced, wasn’t the cleanest, great view from the room but couldn’t see it through the dirty windows, extra charge for the car park, very run down, vast majority of staff operated more like robots.
