I like the location it’s near the town

Weather was hot & so was our room. Just a small fan that didnt do much cooling. Room old fashioned and needs updating. Else ok

We would return.
Pros:

Location was excellent as were the staff who made bed changes for us at last minute.
Breakfast was faultless.

Cons:

Unfortunately it does look a bit tired. Space bathroom was very limited and not enough.
Some carpets and seats in dining room were quite worn.

Location , nice sea view as requested

Cons:

Very tired property in need of vast amount of decoration and refurbishment both inside and out. Room although superior room with four poster😵‍💫 with frayed carpet , light not working, loose handrail and shower dirty with no water either red hot or cold . Small fan in room with no aircon.. Balcony grubby walls. One pint of cider and 3 small bottles of still water £22 in bar . Enough said

Lovely location with good parking, staff and breakfast, but the housekeepers didn't resolve my issue
Pros:

The staff were very friendly and polite. The breakfast was excellent. My room was on the lower floor in the shade, which was ideal in the hot weather. The location is fantastic, with plenty of onsite parking.

Cons:

There was a very wet patch of carpet just outside my bathroom door, as if the cleaner had spilled their bucket there The room had an unpleasant smell of stale damp carpet as a result. I reported this at reception, and was assured that the housekeeping team would attend to it, but nothing appeared to have been done about it during my 3 night stay.

Not the best but not the worst
Pros:

Near the Beach. Some great staff
Breakfast good value.

Cons:

Very dated. No air con. Lack of accessibility for disabled I saw people struggling with stairs.
Room dated and hot.
Ripped nets and dirty plus shower cold.
Would I stay again no.
Left a day early in end no refund given for leaving early

Pros:

Fantastic room with a balcony overlooking the mouth of the estuary. The hotel is set in lovely grounds a mere stones throw from the beach.

Comfortable stay in an old school Devon hotel.
Pros:

Old fashioned hotel on the sea front. Seen better days but not bad. Lovely terrace, huge and impressive dining room. I was walking the SW coastal path and it was perfect for what we needed.

Cons:

A bit shoddy. Carpets bunched in the room etc but bathroom fine, bed fine.
