A nice enough little break for our annual visit to Exmouth
Pros:

This hotel is a tired old lady but the room we always have is large with great views and a very comfortable bed. We have been many times because of the location and the amazingly helpful, efficient and friendly staff. The gardens have been re landscaped and look much better.

Cons:

The hotel needs a big refurbishment and modernising. A huge job for such a big hotel.

As always superb
Pros:

Absolutely fantastic staff from top to bottom lovely clean rooms nothing to much trouble I don’t know all their names but everyone was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable.

Cons:

Nothing apart from a bit of paint outside

Yes, some aspects of the hotel look a little tired, but the room was clean and comfortable with a great view.

Cons:

It’s very tired. Even a refurbished from now knocked about with bad repairs in the bathroom.
Restaurant has worn chairs.
A small fridge to keep water cold in this heat would be an easy fix and a dressing gown

Good hotel, great location needs a refresh
Pros:

The location and staff were excellent

Cons:

We were overrun with Ants in the bedroom and corridors. Also we booked 4 twin rooms but ended up with 2 twin and 2 double which wasn't ideal for our party type

Weather was hot & so was our room. Just a small fan that didnt do much cooling. Room old fashioned and needs updating. Else ok

Location , nice sea view as requested

Cons:

Very tired property in need of vast amount of decoration and refurbishment both inside and out. Room although superior room with four poster😵‍💫 with frayed carpet , light not working, loose handrail and shower dirty with no water either red hot or cold . Small fan in room with no aircon.. Balcony grubby walls. One pint of cider and 3 small bottles of still water £22 in bar . Enough said

We would return.
Pros:

Location was excellent as were the staff who made bed changes for us at last minute.
Breakfast was faultless.

Cons:

Unfortunately it does look a bit tired. Space bathroom was very limited and not enough.
Some carpets and seats in dining room were quite worn.
