Pros:

Room is spacious with big storage cabinets
Breakfast is acceptable
Public bath room is clean, large and comfortable.
Nearby has lots of restaurants
Walking distance to most of the attractions and very straightforward
Comparatively cheaper than other Guesthouse
Owners are friendly and come from Beijing and you can practice your Chinese.

Cons:

I was unlucky to assign to the upper floor so that I have to go down to the bathroom and toilets.

全体的にとてもキレイでした。お値段の割に部屋も広く、アメニティも充実しています。各部屋にお風呂とシャワーが付いています。

Cons:

線路に近いため、日付が変わるくらいの時間でも結構大きな音がします。無料の耳栓があるので、私はそれでしのぎました。

Great comfortable place to stay in Otaru
Pros:

A lot of equipment. Room is big and comfortable. Nice traditional Japanese atmosphere. Good breakfast. Smoking area inside the building.

Cons:

There is no private bathroom and toilet. For the price it's regrettable.
