Absolutely epic spot for people- and aarti- watching at a safe distance. Bring your binoculars! Room was clean, comfortable, and I was surprised that it wasn’t noisier—the windows’ seals work well, but bring earplugs/white noise/eye mask if you’re a light sleeper. Staff was helpful and efficient— but a hard press for a tip on my way out the door was in poor taste.
Rooms are very basic. Very small bathroom, though all neat & clean.
Only main highlight is its one of the best location, that's why we stayed there.
Just a minute walk to see Ganga Aarti, could see from their top floor. Just 10 Minutes walk to the Kashi Temple.
Mr. Satish, one of the best persons, I have ever met, was very helpful in guiding us and arranging taxi etc at good price.
Location and Location only
The spiral iron stairs to the top floor
Location, location, location. We are a couple in our 60’s from Australia. We loved the location of the room. The room is spacious however the bathroom is tiny. The toilet and shower combination are in a confined space.
You will need to walk about 1klm from the drop off point to the hotel. The road is busy but blocked off from cars. So easy to navigate.
We were in a room on the 3rd floor, there is a staircase for 2 floors and then a tight spiral staircase up p to the 3rd floor. We were ok with that as the staff took our luggage up and down the spiral. The owner took us to a good cafe for our meals. Cheap and yummy. I would stay here again as the location is what counts. Just bring your earplugs as the ceremony in the morning starts at 5am
Pillows were awful
There were spiral stairs we had to climb to get to our room
Taxi cannot take you to the hotel as road too crowded , it is a 10 min walk through chaos to get to hotel . We were dropped off in utter chaotic traffic , we didnt know what was going on , a man told mark to jump on back of a motorbike and a kid grabbed my bag and stated walking . It wasnt communicated to us that these people were from the hotel . As a female I felt very unsafe .. i was left frantically trying to keep up with the boy and my luggage thru utter choas of crowds …
It was not explained that we would have to climb a spiral staircase to our accommodation with in the hotel .
Also woken up at 5am by music coming from a loud speaker and evening atri ceremomy every day directly infront of hotel … very noisy
We left after one night
Toilet paper nit replaced
Its on Ghat itself and close to all access we were looking for, that made us easy to commute to kashi Vishwanath temple, godowlia street and Dashaswamedh ghat. Room view is magnificent

excellent family guesthouse, the room had everything you need for a great stay, air conditioning, everything you need to make tea or coffee, super comfortable bed and above all a wonderful view directly on the main ghat, the managers were super kind, they picked me up from the main street where the taxis stop, they helped me with the booking of the boat trip on the Ganges, if you want to experience the real Varanasi come to this hotel and you will not regret it.
Everything was super
The location on Dasaswamedh ghat is beautiful.
Particularly room 302 on top floor.
There is no lift and the staircase is quite steep, particularly the spiral stair from 3rd to 4th floor.
Further the room described in Booking.com is not true. The room is basically double bedded, which can accomodate one extra person on a cot. The attached toilet is quite small. Every time you go out they switch off the AC and geyser from the front desk, though they are prompt in restoring the service when called.
Amazing location with views from rooftop and even rooms ( through windows) to the Ganges and main Ghat with nightly Arti.
It was great to stay in a family run home stay where they were so hospitable 10/10 helping with any and all questions and making suggestions. Even woke me up at 1130pm so I did not miss the first burnings prior to holy day
Nothing
The home stay was very excellent, the staff very supportive and friendly, takes care of guest very well, the manager, Mr Satish was very responsive and guides us well, taking care of guest requirement, the location is amazing, front of river, where the happening place is. Close to shopping areas and resturants, Near by to main temples, and boating facilities at walkable distance. They also have good collection of sarees of banaras origin, Overall it's fantastic experience, the money is worth spending, - thanks S Ramesh from. Chennai
