Hostel. Not a hotel.
Pros:

Great location

Cons:

Coffin sized beds placed head to toe, noisy corridors, washrooms at the end of the corridor. Breakfast so so. Great location. This is an old school partially converted. This is a hostel, not a hotel.

Nice stay!
Pros:

Very pleasant welcome bij Swedish/Norwegian guy (!) in this to the point hotel with everything you wish for the night. Excellent stop for cyclists with spacious kitchen to cook for yourself. Clean and good beds.

Great place to stay that exceeded my expectations by some way!
Pros:

Great place to stay that exceeded my expectations by some way! It reminded me of post-grad uni halls. I think that it's actually a school of some sort? There was a chamber music gathering when I was there - that may give you an idea of what it's like? Rooms are decent enough, not large but fine. Showers were hot, which was great. The room had a single bed that was really comfortable, with linens and towels provided. Desk was an added bonus! Setting is lovely, in the fjord bay of Trondheim, surrounded by fields. Really quiet place apr from the seagulls!

Cons:

Shower floor could have been cleaner. Couldn't open the window at all, which meant it was a bit stuffy. The seagulls screech all day and night, although they weren't near my room, so fine by me.

Great Location - Basic facilities
Pros:

Beautiful location, but under-resourced

Cons:

Catering could have been provided at what is a remote location. Fly-screens are essential.
