After being greeted (well not really greeted) by a very sullen staff member, I am happy to say that my experience with the staff improved. They were friendly, answered questions, and were very helpful in bringing me a glass of hot water for a drink when I asked, providing a kettle (only on the third night!), and fixing the electricity when it went out. However, considering that the hotel provided sachets of hot drink powder and tea bags in the room, I shouldn't have had to have asked for hot water - there should have been a kettle in there. And, when they did provide a kettle, it didn't work. Also, the electricity should not have gone out in the first place. Your experience here depends on the attitude and expectations that you enter with. It's pretty cheap, and so the accommodation reflects that.
There was no hot water. There was no toilet paper. It was dirty, there were some sort of animal droppings on the ledge in side my room. I made the mistake of looking under the bed when I dropped something - Ahh! it was filthy and there were someone else's socks under there! The window in my room went to an internal corridor on the first floor and the curtains didn't fully cover it. The lighting in the room (when the electricity was on!) was poor.
We booked three rooms for three nights. The first night we arrived were shocked by the facilities. There is no hot water for the shower, poor Wi-Fi connections, and weak AC and the bed sheet plus bathroom were not clean with stains and hairs. We decided to check out and switch hotels. So we checked out one hour after we checked in. We did not expect to get all the money back, but we thought at least 50% from the second or/and the third night. The owner insisted that they couldn't get any money from booking.com (?) One hour later when one of us found out something he forgot to pack with him and asked to pick it up, the owner told us the room was sold already and she couldn't get into the room. (wow, double-sale and without cleaning it before selling the room to others!) anyway, even though the staff seems "pilot;" the quality of service was still pretty disappointing.
