Direct midden in de stad
Pros:

Pros:

Very friendly, helpful welcome from the porters. The accomodation is fantastic value- really clean and comfortable, and in a beautiful setting, right in the heart of town. The tea and coffee making facilities were a great touch.

Cons:

The step from the door of the bathroom to the hall floor felt a little precarious- but I'm sure it's fine for those fitter than me!

Stay was great in a College at Cambridge with its history, gardens and central location.
Pros:

The opportunity to stay in a College at Cambridge was great with its history, excellent gardens and location in the centre of Cambridge.

Cons:

We would have liked an option to pay for a continental breakfast, rather than only the full cooked breakfast.

Central stay with gorgeous grounds.
Pros:

The location is excellent and the college grounds are gorgeous. It’s cool to stay in a college and observe the Cambridge culture. The staff were lovely and went out of their way to be helpful.

Cons:

Sometime the door to my room didn’t close properly. Just had to be extra firm with it.

Great stay in a wonderful, historic building.
Pros:

Superb location right in the town centre - only a short walk away from the bars and restaurants on St. Andrew‘s street. The porters were very helpful and friendly - their officers open 24/7 an they let us back in through the main gate long after midnight.

The grounds are simply beautiful and well maintained - our room overlooked the garden area and chapel. The accommodation was perfect for us - functional yet comfortable. The bed was cozy and big. These are basic rooms and feel sparse compared to a hotel but you can imagine a student making this their own home for their term. We came for the chance to stay in a college and didn’t need TVs, random art and little gadgets - so thumbs up from us.

Cons:

The vicar in the chapel could do with a good dose of kindness - it said on the outside placard that a baptism would be held later but the doors were ajar and no one was in sight so we looked around the entrance hall only to be met by a female vicar who informed us there would be a baptism and proceeded to give impression of us being unwelcome and intruding as she hurried out of the room and made it quite clear she was busy setting up. We were interested in the „Kintsugi People“ photographs - not getting in the way of her preparations. As one of us stepped outside into the sunlight the vicar closed the front door with a great thud, seeing the other person was still in the front hall.

Why not have the good manners to speak to us instead of being so passive aggressive- especially as a person who should inherently be compassionate and welcoming.

Weekend in one of the prestigious colleges in Cambridge
Pros:

It is set at the back of the historical courts, very interesting experience. Central location, being part of the College, very polite and professional staff.

Cons:

The room is quite simple, and the bed is against the wall. But think that's what a student/visitor accommodation is like.

Nice setting, fairly basic facilities
Pros:

Beautiful setting.

Cons:

Parking is a pain. Front desk staff are not at all friendly. Rooms are basic - it’s a room in a student hall.

Pros:

Cons:

es hätte sauberer sein können.
