Pros:

My husband and I visited Kolkata and arrived at night. Our taxi driver got lost, and due to the language barrier, it took a while to find our hotel. Despite the delay, the hotel staff were very welcoming. The hotel room was comfortable, the breakfast was excellent, and the staff were kind and helpful. Overall, I had a pleasant one-night stay at Treebo Premium The Crystal Hotel.

Cheap, close to the airport.

Cons:

The photos didn't match the room quality at all. The bed linens had all sorts of stains (of likely blood as well as cigarettes), holes (likely from cigarettes being put out on them), and smells (of mustiness as well as cigarettes); the bathrooms didn't even have towels, and the shower glass partition was taped together.

Cons:

There was no toiletries, even though in the description it was mentioned. Room was too small. Floor mat was not clean. Toilet flush was broken. Shower connection was not working properly.
