Well located , lots of parking , good view from room balcony over - looking the river .
The room is in desperate need of a deep - clean and a coat of paint. It is shabby and dirty ...at best !
Had around 50 mosquitos flying around the room due to there being big open unclosable vents to the outside ,with no nets on .
The mosquito net over the bed was not only filthy dirty but also has too large gauze so the mosquitos can crawl through .
A Very disappointing stay , by far the worst value in my 2 weeks in Sri Lanka. Would normally expect this standard in India ...
Location was good. Nice to be near the river and staff were friendly. You could buy beer on site
This seems to really be a stop for drivers with one nicer room for travellers. We were not in the room we booked (advertised as AC / kettle - pictures of clean white linen etc) It was uncomfortable and unclean. We got bitten a lot both by mosquitoes and fleas etc. We were moved to the nicer room on night two which was okay but we moved on ahead of our third night as we’d been so unhappy on night one. We were charged for three nights at the full rate. Food didn’t seem to be available but there are nice local places in the town nearby.
