I stayed at The Quarters - Swiss Cottage for 34 nights in May/June of 2026. With the exorbitant 20% VAT, my cost was $143/night. I was looking for a larger accommodation at an affordable price in London rather than a tiny, expensive hotel room in the heart of the city. The Quarters serviced apartments were just about right. The rooms were large and comfortable. I was assigned room A104. Beds were comfortable, A/C worked well, TV had plenty of channels, lots of storage, there is a small kitchen, there is a very nice gym in the basement and a small laundry area with 2 washers and 2 dryers. The Finchley Road subway station is right across the street and offers access to the Jubilee Line. This was so convenient! Rode the subway every day and saw all the sights of London. The large Waitrose grocery store is right across the street where you can buy everything you need. In spite of its flaws, I would stay here again.
Some things to be aware of if you stay at The Quarters - Swiss Cottage (especially long stays). These is not a hotel. Housekeeping comes by just once a week. You will have to empty your own trash. You will probably need to buy your own toilet paper, Kleenex, trash bags, paper towels, soap and shampoo (I did). You will hear/feel the rumbling of subway trains every few minutes (I got used to this after a while). If your apartment faces Finchley Road, you will hear street noise. If your apartment faces the inner courtyard, you will hear noise from the Yamatora sushi restaurant (especially if they open the roof). They usually quieted down around 10pm. Be advised, you do not want an apartment next to the smelly garbage room or the noisy, slamming doors of the laundry room.

Établissement très confortable et calme
À recommander!!!
The staff are friendly and professional. Appreciate Selna and Saranaa for their assistance. The on-site restaurant, gym and laundry are great. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Thank you housekeeping team. Overall, it's a good location!
great location
very noisy, a lot of noise coming from the very busy road that the property is on, barely any sound insulation towards that busy road makes sleeping difficult.
location, room space, kitchin, balcony and quiet room
Rug around bed and if possible to to have house keeping to come more often
The convenience, oven, staff, laundry facilities
There should be available a proper work chair because some days we work from home.
The chair available in the room is not ergonomic so it’s impossible to work the whole day on that chair.
The location was close to key shops, the tube, and bus stops. I also liked the self-service laundry. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was cozy and heated, and looked exactly like as advertised. It quickly felt like a 2nd home for me.
Needing to buy cleaning agents for the kitchenette.
The location is great. Right across the street from a tube station. Very convenient transportation to all parts of tne city. The bus to and from Luton Airport is 100 meters from the site. The room is very comfortable.
There was no response from the crew to any request or inquiry that we had. At tje desk there were only nigh shift personnel tjat couldn't give us any valid information. They did supply us some extra towels when we asked for. The room wasn't cleaned or arranged in the week we stayed there.
There weren't enough cutlery and no means for washing dishes.
The property was set in a great location and I stayed for 4 weeks - Waitrose, tube and pharmacies right across the road.
It was a last minute booking and we had to check in at midnight as my partner was discharged late from the ED.
Check in was a little messy because of miscommunication with Booking.com who told the property that I cancelled so the room was not prepared. The security guard Solomon was helpful during the process. The next day the cleaning staffs came to install the bed sheets.
Room had a small balcony.
I asked the next day if we could move to a room upstairs since the basement -2 room has a low ceiling which triggers my partner's claustrophobia. Further, there was not much light coming in in the basement room. There was no room available and I understand. However a week later I checked on Booking.com and the property stated that there are rooms available. When I went to the reception if we could move to a room upstairs, the lady hesitated and without checking she said no and sorry.
There was a microwave/oven in the room, but no hob or vent - so for long term stay with minimum 28 days, residents would have to buy microwavable food from Waitrose to live on for the entire period.
For the immense amount of money paid £3500 for my stay as I booked last minute, and as someone who has stayed in several aparthotels, I believe that laundry should be complementary instead of paying ~£8 each load. I spoke to other residents in the laundry who agree as well.
Room servicing was every Friday around 10am - would have been better if residents could schedule to accommodate their time or have cleaning facility available. Unfortunately we missed them as I work night shifts at the hospital on those days, we stayed in a filthy room for 28 days.
Air conditioning, spacious rooms, everything you need for long stay, right at the Finchley road station which mean you can quickly be anywhere you want in London.
They could invest in better chairs in the balcony, not sure why those hard chairs were selected, properly easier to clean.
The location is very convenient and very close to London Underground and Overground Stations. The area itself is very diverse and you will find everything within walking distance. As a lone traveler, it felt safe and comfortable staying at the quarters with 24hr security. It felt like a home away from home.
The only downside was the laundry facilities. I guess you can't have everything, but the studio would have been perfect if there was a washer/dryer machine. I didn't like the idea of going to a separate laundry room, so I took my clothes to be washed outside.
