Une parenthèse de bonheur dans un cadre paradisiaque

Nous avons passé une semaine absolument merveilleuse au Be Zanzibar, et nous en repartons avec des souvenirs inoubliables.

Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été séduits par le cadre exceptionnel de l’hôtel. La décoration est tout simplement fabuleuse : un mélange parfait de nature, d’élégance et d’esprit bohème qui crée une atmosphère à la fois chic et apaisante.

Un immense merci à toute l’équipe, toujours souriante, attentionnée et d’une grande gentillesse.

Une mention toute particulière à Jeff, dont la gentillesse, la disponibilité et le professionnalisme ont rendu chacun de nos repas encore plus agréables. Il avait toujours une attention, un sourire ou un petit mot qui faisait toute la différence. Merci d’avoir contribué à rendre notre voyage de noces encore plus spécial.

Nous souhaitons également remercier Camille pour le magnifique cadeau offert à l’occasion de notre voyage de noces. Cette délicate attention nous a profondément touchés et restera un merveilleux souvenir.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le côté familial de cet hôtel à taille humaine. La piscine est magnifique et le ponton qui mène directement à la plage — et même sur la mer à marée haute — est un véritable plus. Nous appréhendions un peu les marées, mais même à marée basse, le paysage reste spectaculaire : les nuances de turquoise de l’océan sont absolument magnifiques.

L’hôtel propose également de nombreuses activités offertes qui rendent le séjour encore plus unique : une balade en bateau, un atelier de poterie avec les mamas du village, des cours de yoga… Nous avons tout adoré.

Notre chambre était superbe, très spacieuse, confortable et offrait une magnifique vue sur la piscine et l’océan.

Enfin, nous avons particulièrement apprécié la belle collaboration entre les équipes françaises et tanzaniennes. Cette complémentarité apporte une ambiance chaleureuse, conviviale et authentique qui fait toute la personnalité du Be Zanzibar.

What an incredible place! I couldn’t big it up enough, Be Zanzibar is breathtaking with the nicest people I’ve ever met who couldn’t do enough for you, Camille was incredible, the most brilliant manager you could ever meet who again went way above and beyond we could ever expect, we left part of the family and can’t wait to go back! If you get a chance to go here please do, you will not regret it!

Pros:

Tout était vraiment parfait. Du personnel au restaurant et bien sûr les chambres, la vue, les services gratuits inclus (balade en voilier, poteries, henné).

Le petit déjeuner est incroyablement bon, sans avoir une montagne de nourriture préparée qui sera gaspillée. Plutôt des propositions très originales et locale mais délicieuses. Tout est bon, vraiment tout. Vous pouvez choisir au hasard et découvrir de nouvelles saveurs sans aucun risque.

Nous avons adoré, c’était de loin le meilleur hôtel et la meilleure expérience de notre séjour.

Ikonisches Hotel auf Zanzibar

Be Zanzibar ist ein ganz, ganz toller magischer Ort. Insbesondere durch die ikonische Palme. Das Personal und vor allem die Hotelmanagerin sind super nett und versuchen durchweg die Gäste glücklich zu machen. Uns haben sie ein kostenloses Upgrade zu einer private Pool Villa gegeben und zu unserem Jahrestag ein romantisches Dinner an einem besonderen Ort.
Was wir darüber hinaus toll fanden, war die starke Ebbe und Flut, die dafür gesorgt hat, dass man vor dem Hotel Sandbänke im raffaello Style findet und stundenlang bei Ebbe spazieren gehen kann. Es war auch ganz toll, dass wir eine pottery class mit den Mamas machen konnten. Eine von zahlreichen Aktivitäten, die kostenlos angeboten werden.

Cons:

Die Lage ist etwas abseits, dafür ist das Hotel toll. Wenn man möchte, kann man sich im Nachbarhotel bamboo einen day pass nehmen, um Abwechslung zu haben.

Wunderbar! Unbedingt wieder :)
Pros:

Wunderschönes Ambiente, sehr familiär und einladend. Ein positiver und warmer Vibe während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich, immer gut gelaunt und hilfsbereit. Der Eigentümer ist meistens vor Ort und baut am Baumhaus, dekoriert den Promenadenausblick mit Skulpturen oder Früchten und ist immer für ein nettes Gespräch zu haben. Es ist sehr leicht, hier abzuschalten und sich zu entspannen. Das Meer ist ungefähr 15 Treppenstufen entfern und mit dem Tuna-Burger im Restaurant kann man nichts falsch machen. Ein wunderschöner Ort.

Cons:

Zwischendurch kamen Touristen und haben Fotos gemacht auf eine sehr nervige Art und Weise. Die haben sich wahrscheinlich unter dem Vorwand reingeschlichen, sich das Hotel anschauen zu wollen. Das war nervig. Aber dafür kann das Hotel ja nichts. Die Klimaanlage war zu kalt und ließ sich nicht so wirklich runter regulieren.

A deeply human and healing stay rooted in care, dignity and genuine hospitality; a luxury service.

I had a truly extraordinary stay at Be Zanzibar Boutique Hotel. Honestly, I am leaving feeling rested, nourished, emotionally lighter and alive again. This was not simply hospitality it felt like being held with genuine care, dignity and humanity throughout my entire stay.

What made this place so special was that it delivered luxury without arrogance, warmth without performance, and professionalism without distance. In a world where so many luxury spaces can feel transactional, performative or rooted in exclusivity, Be Zanzibar felt deeply human and community-centred. There was a softness and intentionality to the care that I will never forget.

The General Manager, Camille, is truly exceptional. Her kindness, compassion and attentiveness shaped the entire atmosphere of the hotel. She checked in on me daily with such sincerity and made me feel genuinely at home rather than simply like a guest passing through. Leadership like hers creates a culture of care that you can feel across the whole space.

The reception team, especially Yusuf and Lilian, were world class. Warm, professional, thoughtful and deeply welcoming from beginning to end. Salome in the restaurant was remarkable and brought so much joy and care to every interaction. Fadila looked after my room beautifully every single day with such attention and consistency. And Jeff, the restaurant supervisor, genuinely became like a brother to me during my stay — one of those rare people whose warmth and generosity stays with you long after you leave.

And then there is the location itself. Absolutely breathtaking. Without question one of the most beautiful beaches in Zanzibar. Waking up to those ocean views from my bed each morning is something I genuinely think I will carry with me forever. The water, the stillness, the sunsets, the softness of the air it all felt healing.

I rested deeply here. I ate incredibly well. I laughed. I slowed down. I reconnected with myself.
