The building was reasonably good and there was a balcony with nice views. The room itself was okay and they accommodated us at short notice, late at night.
The description of this place is absolutely misleading, it does not reflect reality at all, even the location is completely wrong! It mentions several amenities such as a hot tub, air conditioning, mosquito net, and a TV that do not exist in the room. The bed was not too bad though not great, and we didn't sleep well at all because we were woken up multiple times by a very loud barking dog in the middle of the night!!
The bathroom was not that clean and there was a disgusting dirty towel on the floor. The pictures of the room showed a bathroom with doors around the shower but this one didn't have them, which meant that the water went everywhere when we showered.
The description also said 'Fabulous breakfast' but they served us some stale bread with avocado, a boiled egg and a banana, with African tea, none of which we had chosen, and they didn't ask when we wanted it either, they just turned up around 8 am. They don't even have good coffee, just instant coffee.
We decided to leave on the first day even though we booked two nights, and the (very angry) guy charged us half the room price for checking out two and a half hours late! His excuse was that there were clients that needed a room and he couldn't give them our room because we were checking out late, which was a lie because booking.com showed plenty of rooms available for that day. He also never apologised for our disrupted sleep due to the dog.
In summary, avoid this place!! There are much better hotels around Kigali. And booking.com should address the issue of misleading adverts on their site.

Beautiful, clean rooms in a quiet and safe neighborhood. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Great breakfast, peaceful garden, and easy access to the city. Felt like a home away from home
The Vibrant Lodge does not exist as it is given in booking.com. The address is wrong. Even the name of the lodge as given in booking.com was not the same when I arrived. I had to telephone the property to find out where it the lodge was, since google maps took me to another place. When I arrived, there was no internet. Nor could I pay by card - the system was down. The staff spoke poor English (the language of education in Rwanda) and it was difficult to make myself understood. Luckily, a friend offered me a room elsewhere, and I left without staying. Of yes, the price given in booking.com is not the price I was charged. It was raised from $20 USD to $30 USD by the time I arrived.
The hotel is cheap but was a great disappointment. The room had a shared bathroom which was unclean with a broken shower door. The view from the room was the back wall of the neighbouring building. Fresh toiletries (soap and tissue paper) were not provided.
I wasn’t expecting such a fantastic experience! The guesthouse is well-kept, the service is exceptional, and the peaceful setting made it a perfect retreat. Can’t wait to return!
The staff is great but the property itself it is not. The description of the property and room doesn't match at all with reality, my booking indicated AC, private bathroom (even a bathtub) and I had no bathroom inside the room, of course not AC and the room was just not even closed. It's shame that Booking. com allows a property to list all of those amenities when it is all a lie.

I had a fantastic time at Vibrant Lodge Gacuriro! The place is well-maintained, the staff is very welcoming, and the service is top-notch. The location is also perfect—quiet yet close to major attractions in Kigali.
