Calcutta Backpackers Homestay- For Travellers and Backpackers

The dorms are fine. Four beds to one bathroom. Very reasonable ratio. The balcony and rooftop are also nice

We enjoyed our two nights at thr homestay.
Breakfast was nice and we enjoyed our interactions with Aunty.
The room was comfortable and shared bathroom facilities good.
Very interesting interiors, book selection and posters around the homestay.
Tucked in a quite lane, so not much noise and a peaceful ambiance.

I have stayed here twice and am so glad I did! It’s got a relaxed and friendly vibe, it’s easy to meet other people traveling and the free breakfast is lovely too.

Rishii's family is taking such a good care of you and will help you with any questions or travel plans. I loved the breakfast, meeting people, and talks on the terrace. Cute neighbours' cat. This place is the main reason why I like Kolkata.

Location and decorations

The comfy and super safe stay, along with Rishii's warm hospitality and willingness to help in every way, made our Kolkata visit truly joyful. Plus, the free breakfast was a great bonus!

The best guesthouse in India where we have been. It was very comfortable here - balcony with good view, hot water, comfortable room, kettle for tea in the kitchen. Delicious breakfasts from Rishi, not spicy, great taste. Really liked this place, family-host are very nice people. If we ever return to Kolkata - we will definitely stay here. Thank you 🙏

I loved it! It's more quiet than city center, you meet the most amazing people there and it really feels like home. From the first moment I felt as if arriving to my grandmother's house for the summer holiday. Came for a few days, stayed almost for a month! Tasty breakfast, hot water; there's a market and good chai masala to be found nearby. Off the main road. Will definitely return!

Our room was clean and nicely decorated. You can feel the spirit of Bengali house there. All items around create unique atmosphere.

Breakfast in the morning is prepared from the heart and most importantly - not spicy. We could use a kettle and fridge also.

On our day of checkout they organised a little room for us, where we could keep our backpacks and change before night train. That’s so so nice! We didn’t expect that and appreciate it a lot.

The best budget place to stay in Kolkata! Very stylish and cozy, place with a heart. The hosts are also wonderful and kind, helpful but not intrusive, and you can feel privacy.
I also liked the 50 Mbps wifi and the desk in our room, suitable for a digital nomad.

The location and the styling on the interior. I had a private room with a private terrace. The used fabric was also a nice atmosphere!

The staff was kind and helpful, the place was neat and clean and the atmosphere was also nice. They really know what a backpacker needs to be comfortable.
