建物は綺麗でした。
朝食が1人2,800円もするのに他のビジネスホテル1,000円で食べれる朝食とそんなに変わりなかった。
しかも、朝食の時のスタッフの愛想が悪すぎて朝からイヤな気分だった。朝の挨拶ぐらい爽やかにしてほしいです。
Location in the shopping district across the street from Nishiki Market and 10 mins away from historic Gion, decent breakfast and a helpful/courteous staff . Free coffee machines and sake rations ;) are a plus.
Rooms are a little tiny especially for those traveling with big suitcases.
Modern, attractive and well maintained hotel. Staff was exceptionally courteous (as were all Japanese people we met), accommodating and understanding of our English.
The buffet style breakfast -- for which we paid extra as part of our room rate -- was delicious: local options (meaning typical of what people eat for breakfast in Japan) along with more 'Western' foods, all fresh, well prepared and replenished, as needed. The dining room -- which also served as a meeting/resting place throughout the day -- was super comfortable and you could linger for as long as you wished.
The room we were in (two adults) was a bit small, and lacked any closets or drawers. But it was clean, quiet and comfortable.
The location is perfect: in a busy shopping district that is also within walking distance of historic neighborhoods and sites. Subways are nearby and taxis, via the 'Go' app, are easy to schedule. And amazingly -- this is cultural -- no tipping for any service anywhere.
We would definitely recommend and return.
There was very little we could find fault with. Perhaps only the lack of a dresser and/or a closet.

Great location - close to popular food and fashion markets on many peoples Kyoto to-do lists. Also conveniently located opposite a 711. Easy to access multiple train lines with only a short walk from the hotel.
Staff were very friendly on check-in, check-out and throughout our stay.

Room was very clean and decorated nicely.
Typically prefer a walk-in shower as opposed to a bath tub due to shower curtains feeling unhygienic but this is just a preference and the shower curtain seemed very clean.
Small room without space to lounge - however this is to be expected with most hotels in Japan.

The default hotel's policy when booking for two adults and one 12 year old or younger is to assume the kid can sleep with the adults for free and assign a room with only two double beds. This was not specified at the time of the booking So when we arrived we realized the three of us wouldn't fit at all the two double beds as my kid is 12 and adult size. We had to request a room change which was fortunately possible, but had to pay extra for a three bedroom. It would have been much nicer to know about such policy in advance.
Location is wonderful
Limited bottles of water is provided per day. Should have a water dispenser for water refilling.
Such a nice hotel, everything was spotless and comfortable. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Location was really central. V handy to have laundry in the hotel - only 4 machines for the hotel but we didn’t find this was an issue, and there was always one free when we went to use them!
