We were lucky enough to have Eric as our guide, as he normally works at a different Motswari camp. His knowledge, kindness and passion were way beyond our expectations. He made every game drive interesting, fun and memorable.
Eating together with Eric and the other guests really made the whole experience feel more like being part of a family than staying at a lodge.
The rest of the crew were just as lovely — always friendly, welcoming and happy to help with anything we needed to make our stay special.
We came for the safari, but it was definitely the people who made the experience unforgettable. Would absolutely recommend!

Such a magical place to spend part of our honeymoon. Quiet, intimate and wonderfully homey, this little retreat is tucked away in a beautiful corner of the Timbavati. Wayne and Aneen were incredible guides and hosts, along with the rest of their lovely team. They made our stay feel so special — from boma dinners and morning walks to all the little moments in between. A truly unforgettable experience. We’ll definitely be back!

We stayed for 3 nights and had some extraordinary safari experiences (pack of lions and wilddogs just meters next to us). The food was absolutely excellent and the accommodation very comfortable and cosy.

Les bush walk matinaux permettant une plus grande immersion dans la nature africaine pour découvrir oiseaux, plantes, insectes... Les appels de la hyène et du lion la nuit. La hyène qui tente de s'inviter à notre table le soir, l'éléphant qui traverse le lodge en journée... les martins pêcheurs qui creusent leur nid dans la berge.

Exceptional stay at Motswari! Guide Hayden provided an unforgettable experience, the food was otherworldly and the staff team were incredibly friendly and always present to help with any needs or requirements.

We had an absolutely unforgettable stay at Motswari! It was the beginning of our South Africa trip and could not have been better.
The accommodation was beautiful, the food absolutely delicious (thank you Eva!), the staff very very friendly (thank you MJ).
Our safari experiences were also extremely special: both the walking and the jeep ones. Our guides Marius and Nadir took such good care of us and shared their passion for nature. We really shared very special moments together in the bush - thanks a lot for that’

We were also celebrating a special occasion, so Desmond (thank you so much!!) suggested to sleep one night in the Giraffes nest - a hut in the middle of nowhere were you can spend the night. The lodge provides you with everything you need there.
We spent the most magical night in the bush, felt completely safe and loved every second of it.

Tolles und sehr herzliches Personal, traumhafte Lodge/ Zimmer (ohne Zaun, dadurch mitten in der Natur und noch authentischeres Erlebnis), phantastisches Essen (ob Frühstück, Lunch oder Abendessen - alles wurde immer frisch zubereitet). Die Safaris mit Marius und Conny waren professionell und für uns rundum perfekt (wir haben hier die meisten Tiere und Pflanzen gesehen, obwohl wir noch in einer zweiten Lodge im Krüger übernachtet haben). Das Wissen der beiden war unglaublich und wir hätten ihnen noch Stunden lang zuhören können. Die Walking Safaris in der Früh sind wirklich einzigartig und ergänzen die Game Drives am Nachmittag perfekt! Vielen Dank für unser rundum perfektes Honeymoon-Safari Erlebnis!

Wir behalten Motswari immer in guter Erinnerung. Kleine Gruppen bei den Safari-Touren und äußerst nettes Personal.
Auch das Essen inkl. Getränke ist von morgens bis abends herausragend.
