Pros:

The location is great ,just a short walk to the promenade top ,it has its own carpark with plenty of space with a small charge to park ,the breakfast was a basic full English buffet style ,with tea coffee juice ect ,the staff professional and quick to get you seated

Cons:

Ok it's a large coaching hotel, a little dated interior reception area and around the stairs, but the restaurant has clearly been updated and very pleasant, the bedroom 303 was clean and the bed very comfortable, again the decor a little dated and it did look like someone with dirty hands had been in the loft hatch in the bathroom as there were marks on the wall and door, dated décor in the bathroom a little paper peeling off but it was generally clean and good .All the above would not put me off, I think what I paid was value for money and the fact I can turn up and park on site without driving around looking for a spot make it even better.
