Everything. It was idyllic and a highlight of our trip. Gorgeous location, truly charming and comfortable accommodation, superb food and wonderful staff. Such a treat!
Not being able to stay longer!
The location was excellent and the staff were friendly.
The rooms were nice but had issues. The heating in the hotel is on a timer and given that it was a cold weekend, it was cold in the room on both days of my stay.
The food in the restaurant was well presented but apart from the steak, which was beautifully cooked, the other dishes were average at best. Mashed potatoes had a skin on them and were chewy.
All three dishes, including the sticky toffee pudding, were garnished with pea shoots which was new!
This hotel has the potential to be awe-inspiring but unfortunately the lack of attention to detail on the small things stop this from being somewhere I would recommend, especially as it is not cheap.
The staff were very responsive to my issues and they are to be commended for that.

The location.
Unfortunately, the phone number displayed on booking.com booking is incorrect. Made numerous calls, left voicemails, left notes on the booking, no contact ever made. Was worried about the booking, especially when no response.
On arrival, the Indian chap was friendly but failed to answer why no response was provided
On arrival, room was far too hot, had to open the windows for a length of time to be able to breath
Very friendly staff and very welcoming of dogs. Breakfast was brilliant, a lovely spread of food options and the croissant was probably one of the best I’ve had.
Unfortunately another guest ruined my experience due to them smoking weed, seemingly all evening and starting again early in the morning, in their room and this smell coming into our room. I was slightly disappointed with the staffs response of ‘we know, we are aware’ and then seemingly not doing anything about it. I may be wrong but I felt disappointed with this response sine the staff were so attentive with everything else.

Breakfast was superb on both occasions. Location was excellent and acceptance of our pooches made overall stay very welcoming.
The location was beautiful, quite remote and perfect for a romantic break.
The plumbing in the replacement room was faulty and the toilet kept backing up with foul smell.
