Location and ambience.
Waiting staff need training. Very slow dinner service. Breakfast cooked dishes mostly had bacon but was told after ordering that there was no bacon. No suggestions offered for replacement. Didn’t get the items as displayed with no explanation.
Very quiet location with friendly staff and comfy room
Internet was weak
La propiedad es muy linda y acogedora, limpia y cobfortable. Ideal para quedarse unos días en verano y descansar.
Nosotros íbamos de paso, y el camino de llegada es largo para ir por solo una noche.
Area beautiful Clean Pleasant staff and good food
The location was amazing would have been great if weather was nice. The staff and food were excellent couldn't do enough 😋
Single track road for about 5 miles to get there could put some people off
outstanding location
staff very attentive
visited on a beautiful spring day
accommodated my son as a last minute visitor
Stuart (?) was great!
food was slow to come out but assuming cooked from scratch so that’s a plus
batter in fish not to my preference
I would have liked to have stayed longer 🙁
A lovely hotel in spectacular location. Staff were so welcoming and went out of their way to make sure you had everything you needed and the food was excellent.
We couldn't fault anything
The location, quality of food, staff and comfort were all excellent. Very relaxing.
The fabric of the old building needs some attention but this did not affect the quality of our stay.
Everything!! Arrive at the time of check in and enjoy the surroundings n the sunset!! Amazing view!
No kids meal provided😆
The location is stunning with Loch Awe just steps from the front of the hotel. The staff are incredibly friendly and professional and the food was great. We stayed half board for 3 nights.
The hotel is the most dog friendly I’ve experienced with a separate dining area where your dogs can accompany you and spare tennis balls, treats and towels available for you at the front door to help yourself to.
The location of this hotel is very special. At the end of a 7 mile, single-track, but tarmac road, and right on the lochside. Best approached in daylight. Well worth the journey.
Food was delicious. I love a well-chosen, limited menu, which shows the ingredients are fresh and seasonal. Breakfast and dinner were excellent.
The staff were lovely. Very helpful, friendly and professional. Especially the Maitre d/Bar manager.
The Suite, with Jacuzzi bath, was a pleasure to stay in.
It would be good if the plates were heated. The dining room is not overly warm and sometimes it felt that the food had cooled down too much before it got to the table. I'd rather deal with the risk of plates too hot to touch than sauces which are beginning to congeal.
Beautiful views over Loch Awe . A very relaxed vibe. Staff very friendly. Tasty food in the restaurant.
Upgraded to room with lovely view. Chef excellent. Fantastic games room, and garden on loch side.
Slightly odd to be asked for service charge on leaving when we’d paid for half board (which didn’t include even a soft drink at dinner).
The food was superb and the location stunning
BBD the £25 towards dinner but main courses were £20+
Location was spectacular. The property was an amazing kept Victorian lodge. The room was large with 4-poster bed and an enormous bathroom. The dinner and breakfast was superb. The staff were very helpful. The value for money was second to none.
It rained but that is outside of the property's control.
Welcoming friendly staff. Spotless rooms and a view to die for.
