Breakfast was superb on both occasions. Location was excellent and acceptance of our pooches made overall stay very welcoming.
The location was beautiful, quite remote and perfect for a romantic break.
The plumbing in the replacement room was faulty and the toilet kept backing up with foul smell.
I have been coming here since 1997 it's just an amazingly located place.
The staff were a struggle.
Restaurant and drink orders were delayed, poor or forgotten. All of the features that were new and amazing in the late 90's are still present and now very tired. Desperately in need of a face lift.
This all spoiled a stay which cost a lot, we travelled quite a distance for and we had planned for a long time.
Location is amazing very beautiful
Property is no longer well maintained or managed . Our room McCaig was very noisy with what sounded like a constant boiler igniting …we were still awake at 3am . Restaurant had very limited choice with around half the menu not available . The specials were very expensive for standard of food .
Previous stay was very good but sadly not now.
Beautiful setting, lovely hotel with stunning views. The staff made us feel very welcome. The rooms had fabulous views, were clean, comfortable and as described. Our dogs were well catered for with sausages for breakfast and hotel supplied towels, tennis balls, treats and poo bags.
We were very well looked after and enjoyed both the meals and time there.
Such a wonderful find. We will definitely come back!

Setting is unbelievable. Picture postcard
Location
Aussergewöhnlich schönes Hotel und Zimmer. Die gesamte Anlage und der Ort und Blick auf den See, sensationell. Unbedingt wieder.
Very clean, excellent service. Good food. The views from the hotel across Loch Awe are stunning and we were lucky to have beautiful weather.
