Perfect stay for the one night after a long drive. Comfortable bed which was what I needed and being able to have a dinner right there at the pub was great.

Paper cups in the restaurant. No cutlery in room
The Edward River Hotel was a great place to stop and unwind after driving. The staff and the people in the pub were friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed dinner that evening.
The staff really made my stay, so down to earth, gently spoken, and charming. I felt instantly at home. The hotel is old - almost 150 - and it shows, but for me this added to the character of the building. It felt more like an experience than a stay, and I loved it. It is being renovated now, but I hope it retains a lot of this old country pub character. I’d stay again in a flash.
Because of the super high ceilings, it took a long time to heat the room.

One of the nicest and cleanest shared bathrooms I have used in a pub.
Only one toilet & bath for all the rooms, besides the toilet, bath and water are in one door.
The room is big but no water is in it, and no window towards outside.
Besides some rooms look like renting out for longer living because a few pairs of shoes are outside of the door.
The toilet room has been busy until 12am.
Compared to the price I am satisfied with hotel.

Was very loud when trying to get to sleep
When i arrived late they kept the bar and bistro open for me cooked me a beautiful steak and served me a few cold beers. Bed was comfy bathroom was clean. Im not hard to please

Pub was closed and owner just didn’t show up. Room had no windows, poor air con and a raft of issues that made the accommodation totally unacceptable
