Pros:

I wanted to visit Swamy Padmanabh temple because of which I chosed this hotel. There were many other hotels nearby but Royal Inn was at a fine distance from the temple with good user reviews. Temple was just 12-15 mins away from the hotel room. Overall good experience.

Cons:

If they can keep a hair dryer it would be great plus point.

Had a booking but hotel closed on arrival
Pros:

Sadly there was nothing to like this time as we did not get to stay there because we arrived at the property to be told our booking had been cancelled as the hotel was closed.

Cons:

We most certainly didnt like being told on arrival at the property that our booking had been cancelled due to 'renovation' work as we had not been informed of this by either the hotel or booking.com prior to arrival. We only found out on arrival at the hotel. There were works being carried out in the road outside which was actually closed off that appeared to be drainage so we could have understood the situation had we been told beforehand. As you can imagine after many hours of flying from UK to India to be told you have no booking when you have taken transport from the airport to the property and then have nowhere to stay is unforgiveable. The attitude of the hotel was "well you haven't had to pay anything in advance so there is no problem". Well someone should tell the hotel there very much is a problem when pre booked guests have nowhere to stay. Our advice is think carefully before you book here.
