Shangri-La Karesansui Hotel

Had such a great stay at this hotel! The breakfast was really good with a nice variety, and everything tasted fresh. What stood out the most was the service — the staff were super friendly and welcoming, always greeting us with a smile.
They even went the extra mile by serving us tea and fruits, which was such a thoughtful touch. You can really feel that they genuinely care about their guests and are willing to go out of their way to help.
Really appreciate the hospitality here. Would definitely come back again!

The location is great.

We had a very nice stay at Karesansui. The hotel location is perfect, and the staff is excellent. They helped us a lot during our stay. They arranged a hiking tour with private guide and also gave us very nice recommendations. Breakfast was excellent. The room was very nice, well designed and warm. I strongly recommend you to stay at Karesansui for your stay in Shangri-La!

The hosts are exceptionally warm and hospitable. Liu Liu and her husband prepared the best breakfast for us in all the 10 days in Yunnan, and for that, we are eternally grateful to them. The room is also fabulous to say simply especially the heated floor. Everything is perfect. We couldn’t stop raving about this accomodation to our friends. The hotel is also a short walk to the ancient town. Thank you to the hosts. Highly recommended!

The owner/staff is exceptionally polite, helpful and nice. They always go extra mile to make us feel comfortable and home.

I like the atmosphere because it has a nice feelling. There is also a very cute dog that is very friendly.

The breakfast room and the welcome area were quite lovely. The entire complex and the sunroom were real highlights. Our room was very spacious and well appointed.

Booked here for the second night after our hike at 雨崩. Equally pleasant and nice coming back to a hotel that has rooms warm enough during winter. Was surprised to note that breakfast was a different menu! Most hotels just repeat their menu every morning but the owner put in effort to cook something different each time. They also helped stored our luggage with them when we were away for the hike, and brought the luggage up to our room before we were back 5 days later.

Room's are aesthetically designed, room heater is more than sufficient (which we feel is always lacking in other hotels during winter season). Had extended chats with the owner who is extremely friendly and gave good recommendations. Could also tell that they invested a lot in this hotel such as the bed, heating devices, humidifier etc. Breakfast was very good. We also easily arranged for transport to get out of town with their help.

The hosts were amazingly friendly, kind and warm...the warmth, especially, was so important to us when the weather was so freezing cold. Stay here if you would like to feel as if you are staying with friends, rather than at an impersonal international chain hotel.

The design of the hotel is one-of-a-kind too. Beautiful individual villa layout in Zen style that you wouldn't find anywhere else in Shangril-la. And the location is quietly peaceful, yet conveniently located within the ancient city.

Definitely recommend staying here! Our trip to Shangri-la wouldn't have been as memorable otherwise...🥰

Highly recommend! The staff were exceptionally friendly. Our spacious room had everything we needed: a heater, humidifier, and the amazing comfort of a bathtub - perfect after a cold day out. Plus, breakfast included a nice coffee latte.
