Lovely Stay
Pros:

Very comfortable stay and staff were very pleasant. Breakfast was high quality too. Lovely grounds surrounding hotel.

The room was fantastic.

Cons:

The staff were inexperienced and very young. The stock in the bar was poor- no smithwicks, no port, no ginger beer, no crisps.

Not 5 Star
Cons:

Definitely not a 5 Star reception received here on Friday 27th March 2026. Nothing of significance sticks out other than it being a standard hotel set on beautiful grounds. 4 Star Hotel maybe at a push.

If dining in the Garden Room, request a table that your not eating from coffee tables. Very uncomfortable.

for a relaxing couples break, this is not the place. Ideal for families i'm sure
Pros:

The food was amazing and the staff in restaurant extremely pleasant and professional

Cons:

We had to ask for robes to got to the pool three times. We had asked someone who was cleaning rooms nearby who wrote it down and promised to send some to our room, they didnt arrive. We rang down to reception and they still hadn't
arrived in 10 minutes. We then asked another member of staff cleaning rooms who then fished some out of a large bin for us!
I also think when a pool is used publicly it should be made clearer. We booked the place for the pool facilities to relax - it was full of adults sitting at the side whilst their kids had a swim lesson - all afternoon. This was not the relaxing pool break we expected.
