The cooked food at breakfast was not very fresh. Lots on offer.
the overall concept . The staff were excellent , efficient and friendly who went the extra mile.
Nothing to give an adverse report thereon
There was a lovely relaxed feel to this hotel from the minute we arrived. Beautiful decor and possibly the nicest bedroom we've ever stayed in! So comfortable in every way, especially the amazing bed. Very pleasant, experienced staff throughout. The bar is lovely, and run as a proper bar, by very capable, experienced staff...so not your typical hotel bar! You can even get a very good pint of Smithwicks...again, not always the case in a hotel bar. I didn't try out the spa experience on this occasion but my husband said it was lovely so will definately be using this facility next time we stay. We're clvery much looking forward to our next visit.
Whilst these issues would certainly not stop us visiting again, they do need to be mentioned. It was wonderful to have a large bathroom with separate shower & bath, so rare...however there was only a fixed bottle of handwash by the sink, and then fixed shower gel & shampoo in the shower, so unless you brought your own bath gel, you won't be having a nice, relaxing bubble bath! Some little bath bombs would be ideal. There was also only one shower cap and I would have expectedI hair conditioner, and maybe body lotion to be available in a hotel of this standard. Also, when I turned on the shower, the head had become loose and water sprayed everywhere. I was able to tighten it myself and ended up having a very good power shower but I do think it's something that shud be checked when cleaning is takes place. There was a wonderful breakfast selection, served in a beautiful room but the fried breakfast was buffet style and unfortunately not very warm. It was delicious so it is a pity.
Dining experience, very friendly staff, clean accommodation. Good value for money.
Tired decor and children's facilities
Pool very busy and also in need of refresh.
Everything - tranquil location, amazing staff
Nothing
Staff were very helpful and friendly
Had to book adjoining rooms, a family room option for 5 would be great.
