Alles war perfekt!
Pros:

Alles. Es war wirklich eine ganz tolle Erfahrung. Wir hatten das Hotel für eine Nacht gebucht, um am nächsten Tag eine Safari machen zu können. Der Pool ist großartig, er ist groß geig um Bahnen zu schwimmen und die liegen sind auch bequem. Das Hotel ist auf alle unsere Wünsche eingegangen, wir durften nach unsere Safari noch Frühstücken und hatten auch einen Late Check-out gebucht, sodass der Start in den Tag sehr entspannt war.

Ganz besonders: ich esse keinen Knoblauch und obwohl ich dies vorher nicht angekündigt hatte, wurde sehr viel Rücksicht beim Mittag und Abendessen genommen. Mir wurden extra Speisen vorbereitet, ohne dass ich extra dafür bezahlen musste. Jedes Essen wurde extra geprüft und es wurde sehr viel Rücksicht genommen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt :)

Serene stay in the jungle
Pros:

We had such a wonderful stay in one of the glamping tents here. The staff were incredibly accommodating, and one of the nights they brought our food down to our balcony and we ate there. The Sri Lankan food being 10/10 delicious. It was so peaceful and there’s a gorgeous resident dog who joined us on our balcony. The hotel booked us a private safari into Udawalawe national park which was the most incredible experience seeing so many elephants up close!

Pros:

Gute Auswahl beim Frühstück. Super schnell im Nationalpark. Die vom Hotel organisierte Safari war toll und preislich in Ordnung. Sehr leckeres Club Sandwich. Sehr geräumiges Familenzimmer mit großen Betten.

Cons:

Recht viele Mücken und kein Mückennetz.

Pros:

Great location! Right next to Udawalawe National Park. Easy to visit the park for safari kindly arranged by the hotel & also easy to visit the Elephant Transit Home.

The pool area is great for relaxing after an early morning safari.

Cons:

We originally booked to stay in the cabana however we had to ask to move due to a mould issue in the AC unit. There was also mould throughout the interior of the cabana.

We were kindly moved to a hotel room but offered no partial refund for the expense of the cabana.

We unfortunately found the service in the restaurant to be disappointing also, having to ask multiple times for items & things being forgotten.

Perfect location for safari, feels like a jungle oasis hidden away. Incredible value for money, the rooms were much more modern and spacious in person

You must like the outdoors, this is a glamping vibe but a very special one!

Cons:

We stayed in the tree cabins and did not liked the structure of the washrooms
The cabins are between lot of trees and the washrooms has quite a lot of open spaces . So entire time it was quite scary going to washroom

Pros:

Die Unterkunft ist wirklich toll! Wir haben in den Stelzenhäuser eine Nacht verbracht und man fühlte sich wie im Dschungel. Die von der Unterkunft organisierte Safari war ebenfalls super! Für ein/zwei Nächte um eine Safari zu machen, perfekt!

Bad management
Pros:

I liked the size of the room and the quietness of the location.

Cons:

This property is located in a very isolated, rural area with absolutely nothing within walking distance no shops, restaurants, public transport, or attractions. Exploring or even running basic errands on foot is impossible, requiring a tuk tuk at all times. The listing did not sufficiently emphasize this remoteness, which made the stay feel inconvenient and limiting.

The main issue that severely impacted our experience happened during checkout. I had prepaid the full reservation amount using a top-up Wise card, with the exact funds loaded specifically for this payment. At checkout, the property's card reader showed the transaction as declined (likely because their system allows for potential extras or incidental holds). I immediately provided proof via my banking app that the funds had already been debited and the payment had cleared/processed.
The staff member (possibly the owner/manager) was initially willing to contact the bank to verify. However, when he couldn't get through right away, he became increasingly angry and confrontational. He raised his voice, repeatedly stated he had "been doing this for years" and knew better, accused me of wasting his time, and demanded immediate alternative payment despite the clear evidence I showed. This escalation made me feel unfairly accused and treated like someone trying to avoid paying, even though the issue was technical and quickly resolvable once contact was made. The confrontation was stressful, unnecessary, and by far the worst customer service I've encountered at any accommodation—it completely soured the end of our stay.

Very comfortable
Pros:

I really liked this place and will return.
The rooms are lovely, the location is great - not far from the park entrance yet really quiet. They have an attractive bar and restaurant where the food and drink prices are reasonable.
The staff are kind, welcoming and helpful.
The place has the air of a much more expensive establishment; the price is high enough, it's not cheap-end, but it is good value compared to other places in the area.
There's also a nice pool and a gorgeous little dog and kitten which I assume (hope) they look after.

Cons:

They use an extremely smelly, chemical air refresher/cleaning product that set me off sneezing uncontrollably. I feared I would not be able to sleep in the room. The staff were very accommodating and offered me another room but the smell was the same. However once I knew what was causing the smell - a spray, which eventually wore off with the aid of ceiling fan, and that it wasn't one of those obnoxious plug-in diffuser things, I was able to get a good night's sleep and everything else was great.

The food in the restaurant was so-so. But the menu is long and varied, so I probably just chose badly.

Pros:

Très bel établissement, chambre (familiale) splendide, belle piscine, très calme, personnel accueillant et à l’écoute, repas délicieux. À deux pas de l’entrée du parc, du barrage et des autres sites d’intérêt. En résumé, parfait séjour !
