Amazing location, smooth check-in and well worth its price. The bed is very comfortable, we even had matterhorn view from the balcony.
Nothing!
petit dejeuner
We like that the hotel was within walking distance of the train station - an easy walk up the main street. A short walk up past the hotel we were able to see the peak of the Matterhorn. Fantastic! We were right in the hub of Zermatt with plenty of restaurants to choose from including Italian cuisine on the first floor of the hotel. We also liked that we were able to experience staying in a genuine ski type lodge.
The tightness of the room and bathroom. The room was rudimentary and very dated and could do with a facelift.
Localização
Internet ruim
Extremely noisy until about 4 in the morning due to the nightclub / bars.
It is a great location right on the main street about halfway between the train station and the gondola. The breakfast was decent and the the room was great except for the bathroom.
The bathroom was extremely awkward with the toilet squeezed between the sink and the wall. Barely enough room to sit. There was also no true shower. It was a tub with a hand held wand. Also has a super tight staircase which made carrying skis up and down a pain.

Staff were friendly and it was a good location.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was genuinely one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever had — especially at £250 per night, which feels completely unjustifiable for what you get.
The biggest issue is the complete lack of noise insulation. The hotel is surrounded by bars, and the noise outside goes on late into the night. Unfortunately, the building itself offers absolutely no soundproofing. It genuinely felt like the street noise was inside the room with us. On top of that, the walls are paper thin — we could clearly hear our neighbours talking and moving around, and at times it honestly sounded like they were trying to come through our wall.
Sleep was nearly impossible. This was hands down the worst night’s sleep I’ve had in a hotel.
The room itself was also extremely uncomfortable. It was boiling hot with no way to adjust the heater or temperature, and there are no proper windows — just the balcony door. We couldn’t leave it open because of the excessive noise from outside, so the room felt stuffy and airless all night.
The bathroom was tiny and cramped. The bed situation was bizarre — two single beds pushed together inside a double frame, which made it uncomfortable and awkward to sleep on. The curtains are very thin and let in a lot of light early in the morning, adding to the sleep issues.
Other frustrations:
• Several plug sockets didn’t work properly with adapters.
• Breakfast options were extremely limited and underwhelming.
• Overall finish and comfort did not match the price point at all.
For £250 per night, I expect comfort, basic functionality, and the ability to sleep. Unfortunately, this hotel delivered none of those. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend it, especially given the price
Das traditionelle, alte Haus. Die Pizza und der Service im Restaurant.
Es war schon sehr eng.
