Great place to stay, great hosts.
Pros:

Hosts were down to earth, welcoming and accommodating. Felt like being amongst extended family members. The view is spectacular.

Cons:

I’m not accustomed to big dogs inside myself. But they were very friendly.

Pros:

Warm and welcoming. I was taken to the door by Ray the bearded collie. Despite my late arrival I was welcomed in and made comfortable. Slept well and was fussed over at breakfast.
Will definitely be back.

Wonderful people and amazing views
Pros:

The hosts were very friendly and helpful. They even offered to share their delicious food and invited us to dine with them. The views were amazing from the back terrace and the house was very cozy. Also all the animals were great, asking to be pet and hanging out with us :) We had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay there again.

Pros:

I felt like I was staying with family friends. They were so friendly, I had some incredible chats with everyone, and of course the dogs were sweethearts - well trained, didn't jump up at me but did want pats if possible. I don't really write reviews normally but honestly this stay was a highlight of my trip. They did also mention that some people who come to stay aren't that sociable and that they are more than happy with that - very much each to their own so even if you aren't sociable, this will be a relaxing stay. Views were wonderful from the deck, spa was delightful, but honestly, the people were fantastic. Definitely think I'll stay here any time I'm in Whangarei going forward.

Pros:

Just unexpectedly good,
friendly greetings from the couple, and their few pets.
Enjoy an cup of coffee at the ocean view deck, cuddling the pets is my favorite.

Gezellig verblijf op een prachtige locatie

Warm welkom! Hele mooie locatie.
We konden overal gebruik van maken.
Zeer gezellig met al die lieve dieren.
Ontbijt was heerlijk.

Die tolle Aussicht von der Terrasse

Cons:

Dass das Haus so weit vom Stadtzentrum entfernt ist und Sonntags gar keine Busse fahren und man 4 km laufen muss, wenn man kein Auto hat! Dafür können aber die Gastgeber nichts...
