Gulf View Stay
Pros:

Checking in was easy. The chocolate chip cookie was good too. Our room was bigger than expected. My husband loved the pillows. I liked the Crabtree & Evelyn toiletry products provided for our use. This hotel was across the street from the Beau Rivage Casino. The breakfast the next morning was available for an additional charge. We would stay here again. All members of the staff we met were very helpful and friendly.

Cons:

We only stayed one night.

Rundown and worn out
Pros:

This hotel is worn out and beat up. Needs renovation badly. The carpet and furniture in my room was stained and gross. The wood furniture had huge scratches and chips. The bathroom was ok. It looked like it may have been renovated somewhat recently. But both the sink and shower drained extremely slow and left me standing in a tub full of dirty water by the end of my shower. The room had no drawers. Literally no drawers. No dresser. No drawers in the bathroom. And the closet was tiny. So weird there was no place to unpack. Rooms were also loud. I was on the 8th floor on the back side and could hear the street traffic and hallway noises. The lobby and bar area look newer. Diamond and gold guests got one free drink a night which was nice. They had a good size patio on the beach side. The “restaurant” was really just a menu at the bar you could order from. No wait service. Also, the only place you can see the menu is at the bar. There’s no info in your room or online. You have to wait in line at the bar to see one of their two only menus. Overall it was as if Hilton had abandoned this hotel and was allowing it to just decay till they can no longer get money out of it.
