Beach, Close location to excellent restaurants
Pool was temporarily closed first day of stay
The cookies that we got at check in were quite good, and the food we had for dinner was excellent.
There were a few lights in our room that were out, the lighting could have been better.

The location
The price was high for a basic room without a small fridge. The cheapest hotels have small refrigerators and microwaves these days. For almost $400 a night you would assume the Double Tree would have done some updates to include a small fridge and small microwave.
Beautiful view of the ocean
First time I have ever stayed at any hotel and not had a refrigerator, I’m diabetic and need my insulin refrigerated, had to keep it in an ice bucket overnight, now maybe I missed the fine print and didn’t see it didn’t come with one, people like me it could be come a deal breaker
Checking in was easy. The chocolate chip cookie was good too. Our room was bigger than expected. My husband loved the pillows. I liked the Crabtree & Evelyn toiletry products provided for our use. This hotel was across the street from the Beau Rivage Casino. The breakfast the next morning was available for an additional charge. We would stay here again. All members of the staff we met were very helpful and friendly.
