Mickitos Square Rooms and Apartments

The place is under rennovation. I think my room was the only one rented out. The other rooms where under construction. There was construction dust everywhere. You see it on your socks, you smell it and I inhaled a lot of dust during my stay, it is a safety hazard. I coughed a lot because of it

My accommodation was nothing like in pictures. It is a very old flat with bad on the floor. Toilet is very small, and not functioning properly. I found a dead cockroach in the morning in the living room.

Extremely disappointing experience.
The room had a leaking toilet and a strong sewage smell, and was located in the middle of a construction site and the worst part, was the lack of response from the hosts.

After the first night with a non-functioning toilet, someone was sent to fix it, but unfortunately, it started leaking again and the smell worsened. When we reached out for help, the hosts stopped answering calls and messages, despite claiming later that they had offered us another room (which is difficult to get if they stopped answering and never showed up!)

This left us with no choice but to find another hotel late at night – an incredibly unprofessional and stressful situation. Renting out a property in this condition, and then ignoring guests in need of urgent assistance, is unacceptable.

We tried to meet them halfway with offering to pay for the first night and requesting a refund for the remaining two nights when we had nowhere to stay. Unfortunately, they refused.

I would strongly advise others to avoid this property.

Binadaki eski asansörü kullanmak istediğimizde direk aşağı çöktü. Bu sebeple sadece merdivenleri kullanabildik. Odaya girmeden önce odalara dağılan koridorda bir inşaat bizi karşıladı karanlık ve korkunçtu. Anladığım kadarıyla koridorda tek bir oda tamamlanmış o da bizim tuttuğumuz odaydı. Diğer odaların yapım aşaması bitmemişti. Odada tuvalette sifonla ilgili problem yaşadık.

The renovation is still going on, however it didn't bother us much

The apartment, as described by the host, is difficult to find for anyone not familiar with such buildings and though the host indicated which shop it was above, there was no sign on the building to help find the residential entrance, which is in the courtyard behind the shop. It was the sign for another apartment that helped me find the entrance for Mickitos. A description of the location of the entrance and which door to use and door entry instructions would have been a very welcome addition to the helpful message suggesting/ offering transportation options from the airport (thank you!).
There was no WiFi connection in the room with the access codes given and I had to contact the host yet again. It would have managed expectations if I'd known in advance that the room was on a floor where the adjoining rooms were being renovated; the doors to those rooms were open revealing disorder. It was not a welcoming atmosphere but the room met my needs - I only needed somewhere to sleep between explorations on a 2 day trip.
Though an excellent location on a pedestrian street diagonally opposite Mother Teresa House, the room is dark without artificial lighting and noise from the street is substantial, especially with windows open.
The hot water comes on when the tap is turned in the opposite direction that many would expect and requires some time to arrive from the boiler.

Quite difficult to find at first but I did arrive in the very early hours of the morning after a late flight.
