Serenity By Nature

Checked in late the key to the door wouldn’t. Lock the door the sheets were wet on the bed had to sleep in my clothes on top of the covers the shower was not safe wires were coming out of the wall to the shower head with tape holding them together stayed that night and left the next morning there was no place to hang clothes my stay was for seven nights

The check-in process was a mess, there were not clear instructions provided beforehand (it was a self-check in). We couldnt locate the room easily and when we found it, it seemed like the room hadn’t been cleaned properly. The photos online did not match the current condition of the room. The bathroom was a shared bathroom that was outside and not clean. Of the few good things, the property was big and away from noise, with a lot of trees and nature.

Armando was very friendly and helpful, and made a nice breakfast in the morning! The area is a lush green forest so it really lives up to its name "Serenity by Nature"!

Great stay from airport & waiting for the flight back home , 20 mins from airport !!! Great space , the man that greeted us & made us breakfast was an amazing host very friendly !!!!! Pura Vida style stay no AC just fans but at night gets chilly! Overall it was great!

Armando was the best! I didn’t arrive until midnight, but he came out to meet me at the gate.

We had a late flight coming into San Jose so I chose this hotel and I did not disappoint. It was 30 minutes from the airport. The owner was amazing. He cooked us breakfast in the morning. The place is very beautiful. I would highly recommend for the price.

The property is going through a transition but it’s a great place to stay. Peaceful and tranquil a place to really relax

The property itself is beautiful but it could use some maintenance. Armando was very courteous and pleasant and provided a delicious breakfast. Check-in was a headache. We tried for over 2 hours but couldn't get a response from anyone on the property. It feels we wasted our 1st day after arriving in Costa Rica

The only problem was no reall sign to know when you arrived, the gate is closed, and intercom didn’t work. We had to call to get someone to let us in. Didn’t speak any interest, but very nice. Breakfast was good.

The concept is nice but the place still needs a lot of work. Being objective these are /-:


* Nice property grounds
* Rooms are ok size and clean
* Comfy mattress
* Simple but ok breakfast

* The place needs a restaurant so badly as there is nothing close to the hotel.
* The shower stopped working
* There is no front desk so you cannot call anyone for help and you have to open the gate yourself, this can be tricky. The staff is friendly but is literally 1 guy.
* A lots of maintenance work in progress in the rooms near by

The Internet did not work, the TV didn’t work, there were bugs all over the house, and the owner was basically nonresponsive. I will never go to this place again. It was a horrible experience. Supposed to get breakfast at two nights I was there or two mornings I was there didn’t get anything
