Walawa Reach hotel

We had a lovely two night at Walawa Reach! They gave us a free upgrade to their new rooms with two double beds which were very comfortable! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, sorting out a full-day safari for us. I would definitely recommend doing the full-day as more chance of seeing more animals- we had the best day! Lovely pool to relax and the food they served was great! Thanks for having us :)))

une arrivée sous la chaleur des tropiques, une piscine pour le plus grand bonheur des enfants et évidemment des éléphants qui passent la tête de l'autre côté de la route; le ton est donné. Un accueil chaleureux de la part de Chamil, et de nouvelles chambres en perspectives pour venir plus nombreux. La résidence est à proximité de l'entrée du Parc National et c'est bien pratique.

Very helpful and kind staff, very nice clean and new cabin - we were the first guests in the room so the staff organised a little welcome ceremony, it was amazing! Very close to the park entrance - we saw elephants from the road on the drive to the hotel. Great pool.

L'emplacement tout près de l'entrée du Parc National d'Udawalawe, l'accueil et la gentillesse du personnel malgré notre arrivée tardive, le safari mémorable avec le chauffeur recommandé par l'hôtel, le bon rapport qualité prix.

We had a lovely stay here. The hosts were very friendly and the food they made was of a very high standard, all made to order with care

We were so beautifully looked after by Chamil and Dimity. The rooms are just as pictured in the photos, although we weren't prepared for the building work going on the other side of the pool. What the photos don't reveal is that this little hotel is situated right on the road, but after the safari vehicles have left the park at 6pm the road is remarkably quiet.
Dimity offered us lunch on arrival, a delicious Kottu with coconut picked from the garden. Dinner and breakfast too were amazing, some of the best food we'd had in Sri Lanka.

- on a pu organiser la visite du national park auprès de l'hotel

Hyper bien entretenu, et la piscine est franchement top

Die Räumlichkeiten waren alle relativ neu. Alles hat funktioniert und war sauber. Schöner Pool. Freundlicher guter Service. Sehr gutes Frühstück. Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Sehr zu empfehlen. Würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

Erg dichtbij het safaripark.
We hadden een safari in de ochtend (6 uur) en konden daarna nog gebruik maken van het zwembad om vervolgens om 12 uur uit te checken.
Het mensen van het hotel hadden ook heerlijk gekookt voor ons en we zijn de avond van te voren nog naar het olifantenweeshuis geweest wat een echte aanrader is.

The room was basic but clean with good air- conditioning. There was a double bed and a single bed in each room. As a family of five we booked both rooms, which seemed to be the whole hotel.

The pool was excellent - it was very refreshing at the end of a hot day.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the food was homecooked and delicious.

We booked a game drive through the hotel and the guide-driver was knowledgeable and helpful. He seemed to take us to different parts of the park from the other groups - we saw many crocodiles and elephants.

The location was excellent, with only a 15-minute walk to the entrance of Udawalawe National park.

Very close to safari. Lovely pool. Very friendly and welcoming hosts. Welcome drink on arrival. Exceptionally good food. Beautiful garden. Offered tours which looked to be good value, we didn't take this up as our safari was already booked through driver company.

The hotel managed by Lahiru Prasad is really amazing! They have a beautiful and new structure, that is situated near the entrance of the Udawalaue National Park.
The experience there was amazing! We slept in a bungalow with the swimingpool outside. Beds were really comfortable.

The Meals there were really tasty and good. For the Dinner we had the chance to choose what to eat (it wasn’t obligatory to eat the same things). The breakfast was really amazing, it was so big that we hadn’t lunch!
The cook girl is really good at it!
